Latest update guys, quite a number of the tracks are in the final stages of mixing/mastering soon. Got a chance to sit in just this saturday, managed to preview a couple of tracks while sitting in front of the far field monitors was quite an awakening during midnight.
Short of listening the whole album, the songs that i've heard is quite unconventional compared to the usual guitar instrumental albums. Don't get me wrong, it still feature lots of guitar-laden tracks but on a few listen this album's concept certainly does not scream GUITAR GUITAR GUITAR & GUITAR only. Tasty leads and runs at appropriate sections and emotive lead melodies, it's peppered throughout the songs rather than bombard or what i call "aural flooding".
Alot of emphasis was given to how the songs flowed and instruments given their own space to fill up the spectrum, making it quite an experience to sit through the songs. At times, there was a sort of grandeur presence in the arrangement and aurally too.
Watching the process of the post-mix and stuff was really tedious too, it's been related to me that more than a dozen days of working till 3am in the morning has been done. All for nothing more than the passion and anticipation to get this album up. These guys are really pushing it for the industry, for guitar/bass/drums/music lovers to have an avenue. I've seen both the sound engineer and artiste at work, it's really chemistry and when i left at about 12am....they had just warmed up and really getting started for a long night
I can't wait for this album to be released and it's been a really exciting wait coupled with this precious night session at the studio, I urged you guys out there to keep the faith as it's all purely funded by Rosli to do this whole album. Hence the delay and not some other what-i-assume or what-i-think story.
Thanks for going through this long post of mine, hopefully to give all of you better insight and what to expect. I'm in no way having any comission/benefits from this, honestly just appreciating this groundbreaking album to be released to the masses.
