hi..wondering if any roland old birds here know if the RS 5/9 sounds are avail in rack or module ??

i'm not talking about the light weight clone rs 50/ rs 70...but the earlier version with the metallic chasing...the real deal rs 5 and rs 9.

Don't think it exist in modules. But there's nothing it can do that the XV modules cannot, except having the real-time control knobs (which you can get other midi controllers to do) and the arpeggiator (which is never Roland's earlier synth's strength anyway). Other than that, the RS5/9 sounds cmainly ome from the JV and XV series.

yea..i thinking of juno G too....lightest 16 track workstation ard at the moment with audio interface.

wonder if the rs 5/9's sync lead patch( first patch under synth catagory) is there , or if juno G has something similar...

any one tried the juno G b4..? hows the synth patches..?

you can always try it at Swee Lee Bras basah,
the last time i ask about the Sh201, I was invited
on the phone to go to the show room to test it

anyway, good to hear from fellow softie about such a
good patch in the RS series. I own a Xv5050, wonder
which synth patch you talking about?

I never thought much of the RS series and Juno-D
until Juno-G came out.

Affordable mid-range workstation. obviously this is direct
competition to Korg's TR synth. now Yamaha answer is the MM6.

looks good. I like the MM6, not bad.

thanks all for the advise...now i noe a bit more bout the Rs and the Xv..

actually i am talking about the 118 :sync lead patch. its the first patch under the synth category if u are using the rs 5/9.

speaking of the yamaha m6..pity it doesnt have enuff tracks for sequencing as i use the onboard sequencer often for intros and midtros..but i like the weight!..

after sloggin the triton le ard for 1.5 yrs...the Juno G and yamaha m6 is reaali making me drool more than ever..

i'm referring to yamaha mm6 which is better and cost the same as m6,

is the MM6 out?
