Richie Kotzen Telecaster and Sahasrara Overdrive Demo

Just got this baby this morning. Finally! My own Fender Richie Kotzen telecaster. Did a short video of it and using the Ohms Lab Sahasrara Overdrive. ( It is going into a already overdriven THD Bi-valve, the pedal alone into a clean amp will not result in this much gain )

Those wondering if the tele is gonna be rock enough, hopefully this video will give you some info. It cuts through very very well. Although the huge neck will take getting used to.

Pedal courtesy of Edder of Oms lab and THD Bi-Valve of TYMC Music.

wah seh.... nice... Thats the only "artist" guitar that I've been curious about.

I believe you got your Tele from 1 of our Sotftie member?
I was offered once for a trade in of my beloved 7 Strings Ibanez UV777 from 1 of our softies here not sure who is it, but I rejected the offer, and decided to pull out from selling off my UV777. :)

No man. I bought it new from Japan. Shipped it in. The UV777 is a really nice guitar. One of the best 7 strings i ever tried.

very nice playing! The clarity on the bridge pickup is amazing, how does the neck pickup fair?

Thanks man.

The neck pickup is nice and fat. Most guitars have mediocre sounds from their "bells and whistles", like coil spilts and out of phase. This tele can get even more twang and clarity with the out of phase activated. It has a good mix of strat tones in normal mode and more tele like in out of phase.

Congrats Nano bro! Very inspiring play there! Really rocks man! Enjoy your beautiful Kotzen sig!

Thanks bro. I wanted one since 2-3 years ago, but never dared to pull trigger on something i never tried before. Finally got the chance to locally and ordered one.

Yup it really takes some guts, considering the chunky neck which is quite intimidating for most. But chunky neck is good for grip, bend and stuff. After I play those US necks, I find jap necks a bit thin already. There's always a learning curve for whatever new stuff you acquire.. & I think it will make you a lagi bagus shredder/player! Way to go bro!

nice!

got the RK tele two months back while in Tokyo. Took me a while to decide btw this and the RK strat..

Loving it big time.. though no where in a million years I can play like you haha..

but I say.. good buy!! Its so pleasing to the eye.. not to mention the sound!

Thanks man. Please don't say that. We can learn from one another. How is the neck of the kotzen strat?

I don't a tele at the moment and have two strats here. So i leaned towards something i didn't have.

the STR-145RK supposedly is thicker than your average US Fender modern shape but less chunkier than the RK tele..brandon what gauge do you string it with? just curious..btw the colour is brown sunburst which is nicer imo than regular sunburst..
