no no not at all. I was just trying to tell you of the pitfalls of chnging up until cannot chng and still end up with gear that are GREAT but still not to your expectations.

I hope I didn't rub you the wrong way... *giggles... limp wrist*

Meh, its zhng lah. haha...

I do want gear thats great but its gotta work with me. For example,

People tell me that the tone I get from the Sansamp Original is great/good/fab, but I beg to differ. It still sounds boxed up compared to my other pedals, and the feel is not up to par with other pedals.
Its this kind of anal-ism I'm talking about ... the Sansamp is great stuff, but just lacking a tiny bit in some area, and when I had to use it to replace my MIA skreddy, I tell you, MAN, i didn't play much guitar for the following few days because I was so turned off by the difference in feel/tone.
Its kind of like that for me.

Expensive Brand A, 0.02uF may be at the high end of the tolerance eg 0.024uF
Cheapo Brand B, 0.02uF may be at the low end of the tolerance eg 0.016uF

So that means

Expensive brand A can be labelled as "warm", "organic", "smooth" because it bleeds off more treble and the one who have paid $$$ for it will use great adjectives to describe the cap. What if its cheap? "Sucks tone", "Muddy", "Muffled", "Not exciting".

Vice versa for the Cheapo Brand B. Bleeds off less treble so it can be "Harsh" blah blah blah... I'm tired of typing.

hahahaha very true uncle Edder

It's called Placebo Effect
