recrown of frets( reallly urgent!!)

i think my strat needs a recrown of its frets. getting buzzy lifeless notes on the G string 2nd fret. where would be a good place to get it done? prolly my budget would be in the 150 region, any shops i can patronise? pls help! need to use in 2 weeks time!!!

oh and one more thing, this lifeless note thing only happend ( or so i belive) after i changed strings on my strat today, i was using the same guage and same brand but differnt "models", i'm using daddrios .09's the one that had the big XL logo on the front and were nickel wound previously before i changed it today to daddrios .09's as well but stainless steel ones. could it have affected the frets or something in anyway? there isn't any sign of neck warp nor backbow, my neck is straight. so i'm pretty confused as to what is going on. so please help!!! before i actaully go commit $150 to a refret/ recrown when i dont actaully need one!!!

Don't jump into conclusions about the solution. Just send your guitar to any reputable guitar tech and let them assess the situation.

I thought it is NOT recommended to use Stainless Steel strings on a guitar with non-stainless steel frets? My understanding was that this would severely affect your fret life...

Before you do anything to your guitar by taking it to "techs", please please please learn from my mistakes and just get in touch with Malcolm before irreverisble damage occurs due to sloppy servicing. If his fee exceeds your budget, just save more seriously. The peace of mind, and the fact that Malcolm uses only the best parts which justifies his price, is more than enough reason to send your guitar to him if you love your guitar.
