Recommendation on brian wampler pedals?

not sure if its on our shores yet, it came out not too long ago

and its indy guitarist pedals, made by brian wampler i think haha

woah its so expensive. i thought brian hand makes them by himself? how did it end up at standard value. weird. thanks guys hope one of these ends up on my pedal board before christmas :p

Mike brings in awesome stuff . But I didn't know he'd be bringing in Wampler pedals. But it also helps that there are no other dealers in Singapore. Notice most of his stuff can only be found at his shop, except for Boss pedals but his prices on Boss pedals are certainly well-priced as compared to Swee Lee's pricing.

But either way the Wampler pedals are still too expensive for me for now. GAS!!!

+1. Yes Wampler pedals are ex for me too! GAS!!!

ive a/b-ed a 1st generation Indyguitarist Plextortion (without the boost switch) against Goosonique's Seventheaven. The plextortion sounded very flat, empty and tame compared to the seventheaven

if you think wampler pedals are great, go get them
if you think wampler pedals are ex, then save up for them
but if you wat really want is
a.) value for ur money,
b.) the fact that the person who made them is here in singapore and is easily available for tech help, and
c.) really want a pedal that is as responsive and has the same amount of clarity as an amp,

then i suggest you get the seventheaven.

anyway i have a 1st gen plextortion for sale. its definitely cheaper. hahaha

+1 for Mike for bringing Wampler pedals

Sell away your OCD, your modded DS-1 (...put mooders name here), BJFE Dyna Red , Vox Satchurator, Sansamp GT2 etc. I've tried em all.
Save up!!
Wampler - Pinnacle II beats em all. Bring down those pedal and a/b with Pinnacle II.

Transparent, no harshess.....sounded like a hot rodded JCM900 but with a wider variation.

Not tried the seventheaven but I believed that pedal is more mild if u want distortion/gain ala van halen

Don't u know there's clips of seventheaven out there? Even read goose saying that the seventheaven has a milder distortion unless u add some SD-1 or tubescreamer.

Have never personally tried a seventheaven ( I have pm goose before about the price/duration time etc) Personally I find seventheaven a bit ex for a locally produced pedal. Just my humble opinion. No flaming please.

That Wampler cost me $325 from Mike... . I played that Wampler on SZ320 (with Duncan Distortion) and biyang tube amp (clean)

Maybe someone can a/b it with a svenethheaven and Wampler Pinnacle..but again not here to argue.

Just to share my experience with Wampler pedals.

Head down to Mike of Standardvalue .

Peace No War.

Bought the 1st Wampler pedal from Mike..the Pinnacle...
I am no tone expert but to my ears..sounds like Angus Young on steroids.. kinda of Back in Black..running through the clean of a Vox pathfinder 15...with the gain set to noon and volume to noon..

the tone knob and contour knob are quite interactive of one another..
put the tone to 11' and contour to 1'..sounds like Slash..

very Marshall-y type tones...akin to 70's and 80's hard rock sounds in the vibe of AC/DC..GnR..not compressed type..raw,raunchy and inyerface type..

been hearing Eddie's earlier works...the brown sound and comparing it to the pinnacle...not quite close though....

ah...shucks...maybe it's in my playing..i suck at geetaring...

Yes I know. I own one. I played one. I have heard one. Even touched one!

If you've heard any of the clips, I'm pretty sure the 7th does Van Halen kind of gain levels.

Funny notion of the local that a locally made pedal has to cost less since... uh... wait... I understand, 'tis Singaporean to ask for cheaper ya?

Bro, if I'm a cheapskate I would'nt have bought a BJF Dyna Red...yup I find that pedal ex but it does'nt do what I want.Sold it off.

U wanna support your pal or local it's ok. It's up to u . I got no issues with local pedals .
If it's good, great tones, nice paintwork...local or foreign I'll buy.
If all parts are available locally, done locally, no shipment, same amount of research put into it...isit all wrong to expect at least a more competitive price? Not asking for the cheapest price though.

But DON'T label people just becos they have a different opinion from u.

=Jay_Clones

No, I didn't say you were "cheapskate" - I said its Singaporean to ask for cheaper.

Why do you think the parts in the 7th are available locally? Also, I don't know what constitutes "same amount of research" but the 7th isn't your RAT clone or a Tubescreamer clone or a BSIAB clone or etc etc.

If a BJF pedal can make your fork out the $$$, why not on a local pedal that's 2/3rds the price but has more knobs and an extra footswitch? Fancy paintwork?

Actually, its not so much about the opinion but more about how you had certain notions that aren't true in the first place.

Finally, I'm not a fan boy of the 7th. I have never raved about it.

The way he put it across is as if locally made pedals are expected to cost cheaper..
Sian.. So if Goose went to America and make the 7th there got diff meh? Still same product, same amount of effort made in research and sourcing for parts, and same talent..
Country of origin NEVER matters unless you're buying Chinese milk!:mrgreen:

Wahaha shredcow my man.....i think only those who have tried the 7 heaven will stand by it keke, support local i say!!

Oh my ...

Jay ... i have done nothing wrong ya ...if the wampler rocks your boat ...go ahead have fun...don't judge me or my product!

You don't know what goes in the seventheaven neither have you heard one.

I know what the pinnacle is, in design and it's capabilities.
The design is of a project and wampster tweaked it to taste.

Wamps is a cool guy and i have known him for years and he makes some cool pedals....and if he where to be here ..reading this ...he will be disappointed.

and ..Jay, the seventheaven is NOT mild....if you understand what high gain is...fyi

Shred...thanks but next time don't bother...i get similar vibe all the time ...just like how local bands gets it ... in this country this mentality will never change...SPG rules here..you know:cool:

Hi Goose,

Nah , you've done nothing. Neither did I say ur pedal is not good or watever. Yes, Wampler rocks my boat and I'm just stating my opinion and sharing my experience.

For God's sake , this thread is about Wampler' pedals!

Maybe the price thingy which I mentioned irked some people...just an opinion.
U can call it watever u want..local mentality etc. But I believed there's still room for a more competitive price...dat does'nt read cheap!

Never do I look down upon on local pedal makers.....Seriously I dun understand why u and Shred sounded so defensive.
