Got this birthday gift recently ..... nice clarity, full sounding and tough construction.

Oh ya and a no bull shit guarantee ;)

on cable, just wondering, for anyone in here with their "steady/expensive/tone in my cable" kinda cable dying on them(ignore the following if just wanna change cable to try out different cable)

did anyone try to cut away the plug, measure continuity between the ground and conductor wire to check whether is the whole cable thats faulty(break in between somewhere within the cable) or just lousy quality plug with the solder joint that gave way due to heavy abuse?

If the later, getting a good quality plug and resolder back might save some money

oh well, ignore above if just wanna buy new cable!

planet waves cables are utter rubbish imo. Had so many crap out on me during gigs that it isnt funny anymore. I even thought that one of my patch cables on my rig had issues but in the end the planet waves cables turned out to be the utter culprit.

The evidence audio cables are really good.....although i have yet to try one.

I like the Fender Tweed cables Goose...just that my side is out of stock! :(

Well... Actually it depends on what you're talking about. My sort of abuse talks more about tugging accidentally, so I use vintage coiled Vox cables.

If you're afraid of stepping, well get those well covered ones. I find Vox cables to be reliable. Thus far at least.

some personal recommendations (because I own/ have been using them):

1. Ibanez Series DS cables- affordable, low-noise

I have been using them for more than 5 years. Still going strong. Might be buying another one with angled heads.

Planet Waves cable are great. It works for me after 5 years.

okay, i "abuse" my cables by, stepping. i step on my cables on stage and while jamming alot

but i believe its all the tugging and pulling at the plugs. i dont know..

whats the right way to plug out the damn cable. hahaha

hold the cable by the plug and pull it out.

if the cable and the plug are 2 separate parts where the connection is only in the solder joint and plug cap/tightener, of course thru constant tugging and pulling of the cable, the pressure will be at the solder joint.

Even if the cable at the plug is one piece kinda(where plug cant be removed to reveal the soldering), constant tugging of the cable is not good as well, in long run. Pulling, tugging, stepping on, all extra pressure to the "path" that carry our godly tone.

Why wanna treat it so rough??

Rockstars are comedian, lets be efficient and logical musician instead!

I'm looking into some evidence Lyric HGs... heh.

but ized, let me know when the stock is back in! My cables are all dying and I'm too lazy to go buy and DIY..

Neutriks

I use Canare GS-4s with Neutrik heads (one side silent plug) and they are quite hardy. Never has a problem with the abuse.

I take good care of my cables and make sure I don't tug or step on them...but my Planet Wave cable died on me. It's the cheapest kind so maybe that's why but I don't expect such a thing to happen either.

I'm using Ernie Ball cables right now, they're pretty good.
