Reanimated MetalZone updated

No offense to AEnemic, but recording directly through a computer simulation and Line6 especially... its very easy even for a tubescreamer to sound like bees in a can, more than ever this is a pedal for METAL tones...

So, to be honest I don't appreciate comments like that when you've not tried it in person.

By the way, I started the thread to inform my customers that I've not
forgotten about them and that a free update is available. They can choose whether or not to take it up.

So to all who are happy with the upgrade, you are welcomed.
And in the same spirit, my next planned update would be to
fine-tune the extremely powerful EQ section. So those who
have a ReAnimated MT-2, plz tell me what's sorely desired
for the next update.

Yeah, it's weird cause when I plug my guitar into my amp, it doesn't sound like a can of bees at all. Hmmmmmm, just got home and tried it after seeing that comment too.

I still love the mod, it's awesome. EQ huh...what should demand for? Hmmmm.

And what do you suggest I record with seekz? Any recommendations? I'm using a toneport UX1 to record to my computer.

I like the clip, even though i know it sounds compressed and yadadada....cos it suits the context of the sound AEnimic is trying to achieve.

The "can of bees" characteristic in an MT2 isnt bad, just depends on what context it is used in. I think the MT-2 really does the rectified rhythm tone to a T but just requires some tweaking.

Dude. Chill. You're a seller. I'm a potential consumer. I have every right to comment on a product I might or might not be buying.

If you're going to jump on everyone who passes comments on your stuff like they've stepped on your ego, then I'd suggest you get OUT of business, because there's going to be plenty of comments flying around whether you like it or not, and not all of them will be online either. If you can't deal with them well, you'll either end up losing customers, or not gaining new ones. Take a leaf from a page of Goose's and Edder's notebooks. They deal with customers online. They're diplomatic, fair and mature. But all in all, it's a business after all, and they know it, though sometimes their customers might not. You're bound to have disgruntled customers.

Plus it's a known FACT that MT2's inherent built-in characteristic IS "bees in a can". that's an unavoidable fact. That's why people want to mod it in the first place! Surely you would have know this when you chose to mod this as a product. It's not your fault it sounds like this. Blame it on BOSS.

Also, the comments passed were based on Aenemic's clips. You're right. I have not heard this particular mod first hand before, and therefore can only base this comment on his clip. And by posting this offer on a PUBLIC forum, you're inviting people to actually come and post comments whether you like it or not.

Here's a tip: Since you're so confident of your well thought of product (which is a good thing), why not post a side by side comparison of your mod against some of the more reputable ones on the market? If you can show you offer something no one else has to offer, you'll have a lot more attention from the market. If, instead of passing judgement on others about their opinions, you can demonstrate on the plus points of your product vs what you've done so, and what you've done, then honestly, you'll be a serious engineer worth taking notice of. Like what Edder and Goose have done.

And a TS9 sound like bees in a can thru a POD? You don't know what I'm talking about, do you?

AB the pedal against another metal pedal like a Dime Distortion or a Morpheus, and you'll know what Goose and I mean.

Yes, I never said it's bad lah. Either you like it, or you don't. I don't personally, and that's why I stopped using the MT2. The Keeley mod removed it to some extent. Some like it that way. That's fine... That's their perogative...;)

^yes....i also dint say that you said the can of bees characteristic of the mt2 is bad.

yar lax seekz, i agree with whitestrat because everytime something new comes up, ppl want clips. and whenever clips are out, ppl comment on what they hear. its something very normal.
i too find it lacking in bottom end, but its not the pedal, its the clip.

whitestrat, how come the cleans through that line6 sound nice? retains that warmth and stuff.

Line6 makes some of the best sound interfaces for guitars at a price. I think the whole "digital" thing puts some people off. If you're willing to look past that, it's a great recording tool.;)

my whitestrat, u are starting to sound too like a certain someone. totally.

scott chill man, for those who have tried the stuff u make, as long as its good enough for us can already. u can let ur stuff do the talking, and MAYBE he can let his playing do the talking, but then thats a big maybe.

and btw, thats MY prerogative.

Yup scott, i totally agree with penta-tonic, well for those that had dealt with u before can testify ur originality and integrity in ur own work, so chill bro ;) anyway just forgive and forget yeah bro, cheers!

Whatever you guys say man, I love the mod still. :D

Still finding a setting that will retain the niceness of the sound I get when I play through an amp, I need it for recording anyway. :(

Haha bro pls dun feel offended in anyway really, i honestly dun think anyone meant any harm anyway, just perhaps some misunderstanding going on

It is great to hear that u r enjoying the mod and it's upgrade, cause this is the greatest consolation for any tech out there that is working their asses off to satisfy our hunger for great tone and all of them deserves our respect! Cheers to all local techs and modders!

Wow, its garnered so much attention from the same guy rambling?

Lets make this clear:
I said that its very easy to go wrong when plugging and recording direct into computer without an amp. And that if you've haven't tried it, plz don't say it sounds like a can of bees. If that sounded very offensive and kick started this "SeekZ bashing" then I suggest you take up some sort of meditation class or anything that can help you control your temper.

How complicated do you want to turn this into?
Well its fine with me, that way more people will get to read the thread.
I just wanted to inform my past customers of a free update.

Now let me address the things that I'm unhappy about in a orderly fashion.
And lets hope the rational public can see the light.

I'm unhappy that you suggest that I go out of business because of that...
LoL What ? Okay okay yes sir yes sir, I will do so... LOL

Once again... What ???!!!! LMAO (although in an angry fashion) :)

--------

Next, I invited my past customers, specifically people who own one
to offer me feedback, because they have the luxury of tweaking it, using it with different amps and different guitars. I did not invite anyone to comment on the soundclip, in fact I didn't even ask anyone to make soundclips for me.

--------

Lastly, well since you can't let it rest, I'll explain.

If you look closely at the Toneport, they specifically stated that they used Hi-Z inputs. So its means that it works best with the Guitar Direct into tone port, not from Effects.

And to those who are keen, this is also the reason why certain pedals stacks well with certain pedals. Mess this up and your effects won't sound the way you think it would.

----------

I don't know why you bring up other pedals to compare with a metalzone.
did I mod those ? or is a modded metalzone suppose to match up to that?

Even on my own site, I provided soundclips before and after the mod.
people can decide whether the mod improves the pedal.

So to become more reputable, I have to match up my mod with all the others? Do you know how many other products are there on the market?
Clearly that is not feasible. So once again, let me reiterate.

I'm asking people who own the pedal for feedback.

seekz da man!
i got my mt-2 down about a month ago and got it modded, and i loved it so much more than the stock mt-2. it's a lot less fizzy/fuzzy compared to the stock one.

and the next thing i know, i got a FREE upgrade that adds more gain to it. and i tell you, I LOVE IT! it just keeps getting better :D

plus the service there is awesome! i always pop by there for fun, just to mess around, test out stuff. and they've always so friendly.

too bad i don't have my beat-up MT2 with me now, if not i would have sent it to you, Seekz. heeessshhhh...

anw, AEnimic, your track is COOL... :D

what amp settings did you use? or did you bypass the amp section totally?
the last time i tracked a high-gain stompbox into Line6's Toneport (same one you used?) i used the Brit J-800 setting to "warm-up" the track a bit. maybe you can try that too... the drive was at "zero" and vol at "9". and cab was set-up with "57 mic off axis at 32%". see if it works for you...

this is a really unprofessional way of handling potential customers man, im really put off from a neutral point of view
