eq is equaliser..u noe knobs wid label low/bass high/treble n some gt mid..they set the frequency of the signal..mid is quite impt as in makes the overall sound low/high...ur amp dun hav mid....still can lah..as long as u cut the tone on the neck...

yar i guess u can either swap ur pups or.. get some cheap humbucker one... if its distortion, any guit can do that.. but heavy distortion...

well, my ibanez SA guit has 2 humbuckers, and though its stock, its enough to get heavy tones, so

its also due to the build of the lp. solid chunk of wood. ibanez doesnt have that! :twisted:
