RC Booster to increase the sustain

Can I use a use the RC Booster to increase the sustain of my main distortion pedal (eg. when im soloing)?

If not, can somebody recomend a pedal which might be able to achieve this?

unfortunately, seldom there be pedal/effect adding sustain without throwing in another different character to the original signal. Other than that, fingering technique, guitar setup, amp size, volume of playing all play a part.

rc might be able to make it louder, brighther, smoother, cutting thru other instrument when soloing. But sustain wise, its kinda different from gain boost.

imho

very interesting. Actually I used a cs-3 compressor but the noise drives my insane. Where can I buy this barber tone press and how much?

search thru the Thread by randolf just below...

He gives a very good introduction to proper use of a compressor. You will learn something there.

Your case is one of ignorance, not gear.... do a little more reading and research - you'll be better off.

Put overdrive pedel before your distortion pedal as a booster, add some drive, you'll have lots and lots and lots of sustain...

To put simply, any form of compression (overdrive, distortion, compressor, etc) raises the volume of the quieter parts. This gives the illusion of sustain, but really your strings vibrate for the same amount of time.

The offside of this is more noise, as noise usually lives in the quiet and you're raising the volume of that.
