Hehehehe.... hmmmm u possily need a 9 way Switchblade DS1 Jap or Taiwan still OK! Hehehehe... Evil!? Nah, MT2 and MD2 are the sons of Beelzebub. :D

No offence bro....but my personal opinion...dude but keely's mod kicks ass anytime man....Which probably explains the huge disparity in price.

i tried and tested both Keely and Randolfed Ds-1 ultras before. Keely wins hands down.

Hi guys,
firstly i must mention, spending time with randolf is juz so exciting and pleasant! I learnt so much from him.
Personally his mods are EXCELLENT!!!! Big Time!
Keeley ultra compared to his i thk its abt the same.
But he has this Switch Blade mod which is so much niceer den the Keeley Ultra.
Try it for yourself. :D
Anyway thanks Randolf :D

Hi Bro! no offence to you too!!!!! although you say Keeley's DS1 wins, maybe its the tone that wins, not the tone that you want wins. Hes in the process of modding my DS1 to a switchblade & i personally think that his mod is more suitable than Keeley for my tone.

Robert Keeley can only mod the he thinks its nice on his ears, whereas Randolf invites you to his home & experiment all sorts of tones untill you find your fav tone. You'll leave his home a happy man.

I think his charges are somewhat similar if you buy a Keeley modded or you buy a stock pedal & you let him mod. I will not quote his prices. You can enquire from him.

hey dude. maybe you are too sensitive. people are just asking for randolf's contact. btw, how much do you know about keeley's products? you even got his name spelt wrong! please for goodness sake, post the right content in the right thread.

time for me to speak up!

Here's the deal, i've owned keeley and randolf's ds-1 ultra. They are similar in voicing but similar is the word here... They differ slightly, very slightly keeley has a little more higher frequency that i liked. But randolf can tweak urs to taste so its no issue, just that i owned both so i just sold one.

Now for SD-1(super overdrive). I also have the privilege of owning randolf and keeley ones. Randolf one has much more clarity than keeley. When u compare them side by side, keeley one seems to have so much mud. And of course i've tried it against Zakk wylde, ts9dx, ts7, jekyll n hyde. Randolf one suits me the most. In my opinion owns the rest.

I currently have randolf's SD-1 and CS-3. You guys shd check out the CS-3 modded. Adds so much life to ur sound and picking.

Oh wow, I was notified abt the thread so I thought I oughta take a look. Tanx for the generous heartfelt support fellas!

Izzed, I'd like to share with you my response to your comments.

Tone, a subjective thing and often frustratingly mind boggling ting is experienced, described and acquired in so many ways. The simple comparison between stock pedal models eg. comparing a TS9 against a SD1 and a Maxon will spark off endless debates about which is better, which is livelier, which is more tubish, which is more vintagy, happening or whatever... point is when we add the pricetag issue many are quick to arrive at their own conclusions and assumptions based on their current state of different ideals applied to a said product's value against it's tonal value. Now let's add an array of boutique pedals into the comparison...then let's add the mod pedals... Ok now let's get a bunch of guitar players who'll come with different axes loaded with different pups and play with different hand techniques and choice of picks. Let's not forget the choice of amps, speaker cabs... And! the way each player dials in his own gain and tone on the amp. It is IMHO that no 2 player given the same set of gear will be the same. Each player may be happy with their own setups but the audience/clients will percieve differently yet again. Hell, often even the retailer himself will form his own conclusions.

The service that I provide does not come with self claims that my work is better than anybody else. I don't think I've ever heard Analogman, Keeley or any self respecting person foolishly claiming likewise too. If my mods work for you then great and if they don't, I'll do my best to sit in with you to hear you out and offer fine tuning tweaks or suggest other methods and gears to arrive closer to your unique tonal intention. This is no longer a replica but a customized service. I'll pop in a coupla real Keeleys and stock ones in the process. Sometimes in this tonal quest for a client a stock pedal can nail it, sometimes a boutiqe, sometimes a replica and sometimes a customized one.

Taking great pride in what I do and offer to my peers is my commitment to help anybody who's dedicated in their own tone quest journey. Quality is determined by one's own state of awareness. Freedom of choice is eventually yours to decide and that is always a beautiful thing.

Izzed, I'll be glad if you found something that suits and inspires you in your guitar tone quest. However, if ever in doubt you are always welcome to come by one of these days if you can. :)

Regards

Izzed, I would snap this offer up even if I thought boss pedals are the bane of tone!
