Question on single coil pups positions

Man it's time to add some variation to my guitar.

I have a HSH combi, and since i dun use the SH much, iwas thinking of changing the S into a bridge single coil pup.

Meaning i'd have two bridge pups in my gutiar, one single, one humbs.

I was wondering if this would work. What do u folks think?

Launched during Winter NAMM 2008, I'm not sure how soon they will be available.

He wants to put a bridge single coil into the middle position of his HSH guitar.

So he'll have 2 'bridge' pickups, with the single coil bridge in the mid position.

Actually its a moot thing, almost any pickup can be a bridge pickup if you like the tone of it being there.

It won't sound like a itself if it is in the mid position though as compared to the bridge position.

Yeah lightice got it right.

But what do you mean by it wouldn't sound like itself if the bridge pickup is in the middle position? Is there a difference in magnetic capabilities at different positions? Or is it just personal touch?
