ive seen these sorta threads on TGP alot. so i thought id spark a debate off. sorta similar styled guitars. with clear cut differences. now comparing these three, all three different monsters. but if you had to pick one, which one and why. if theres anything else you think beats all these, pls feel free to add into the discussion.

just thought this would be fun.

ps: this is a friendly sorta discussion thread, any flaming should be done privately if needed.

cheers

ernie ball musicman wad model?haha if its the JP-6 string(fully loaded, mystic dream or bfr) than i'd go for that haha

thats what im talking bout, i think those damn birds are hot! but the musicman plays so so so nice. whichever model bro. throw it in!

And I'll be that fella that comes in and throw it off tangent...

I'd say Caparison Apple Horn!

I personally like the tone of the PRS singlecut better.... It's almost like a Gibson Les Paul Standard but less muddier but with the same punch and thickness. The PRS Custom is like in between a Strat without the twang and almost like a Gibson SG. Both the PRS's have awesome necks and are very suitable for Asian hands. Haven't owned a Musicman before so I can't compare.

The PRS Singlecut gets my vote among those stated but it's a close call between the Gibson Les Paul.

ive been checking out the Music Man Axis, the trans gold is as beautiful as the PRS's too man. and sounds sooooo rich..

i'd say get the single cut, killer looks coupled by killer sound
in addiyion, playability is top notch too

You've got to try the BFR JP!
IMHO, it's a super LP!

It has a warm and thick sound, and the notes are not muddy at all, very clear sound notes...

wishful thinking man!!!! i never help the guitarist to clear up his mess: EG:his smashed guitar, wrecked amps good enough already, haha

Ernie Ball Musicman, I'd vote for the JP model. The other designs don't appeal to me. PRS... I don't mind the hardtail bridge versions, truly beautiful but I'd never dare to bring them up on stage for fear of scratching the quilt / flamed top.

Either the Musicman JP or a Gibson Les Paul Standard in black for me . Somehow I like the Gibson tone more than the PRS tone but I've never owned either guitars so can't quite gauge.

Whahaha... I swear I saw this coming... Honestly, looks-wise, I really like the PRS Custom 22. There's one in Davis I almost took, but didn't cos I didn't like that rotary switch. But it's damn chio...

Musicman what model? I think to compare, it should either be a BFR, or this:

And this is what they call "normal flame". Not their premium tops...

Ive made my choice...:p

Check out a black Axis with cream binding... Utterly simple and highly jaw-dropping...

But you're aware the Axis is a basswood and maple combo?
