Gibson Les Paul Standard Vs Studio Vs PRS SE

I agree and second whitestrat, most EBMMs can handle EVERYTHING from blues to metal. GET AN EBMM JP!!!:D

The JP6, while extremely versatile, doesn't sound nice in low output situations. I wouldn't plug it thru a tubescreamer into a blackface, y'know what I mean? Mainly the basswood body and the flat radius makes it pretty much a shredder's axe... The Silhouette on the other hand, is far more versatile...

hi kennethc

im currently in dallas. ya i did considered the fat strat but not the deluxe version tot.
btw talking abt amps, did u brought any while u were here? if so what did u do with the voltage issue? just use a transformer back home? will it affects the amp?

Nah, back in the USA I just got a cheapo solid state amp (Washburn Bad Dog). I was purely using the rig for practice, not gigging, so I didn't need anything more than a multi-efx pedal, a simple amp, and one guitar.

Yes you will face voltage conversion issues if you buy an amp from the USA and bring it back to Singapore. It may not be as simple as using a power converter/step down transformer, depending on the amp circuit. I would recommend that you buy a simple solid state amp while in the USA, esp since you're just starting to fiddle around with the elec guit, sell it off before you come back, and then get another amp back here.

Since you're in the states, try Hagstrom Swede and Super Swede... I'm gonna get one when I go over in a year or so...
