Products that you seek but can't find in SG

I'm curious to know what Singaporean musicians are seeking for that they can't find locally. Eg, i've had a really hard time getting my hands on a Rainsong just to find out how it sounds being made of graphite and all. My friend tried calling the dealer (if they are at all) and they told him that there's no trying allowed: kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

I've also been reading the forums on Mesa Boogie amps and Blackheart amps. Thought it'll be good to have a overview of what brands we are finding difficulties getting our hands on (boutique or otherwise).

The full range of Gotoh parts are hard to get here, thus they are a `lil overpriced here as compared to those sold in Japan. There were a few mass orders for these equipments in the past and they were much cheaper, but more effort had to be put in.

Hi Madwerewolfboy,

Sorry for this commercial post. I tried my best not to post in this forum but I must correct perceptions that not all singapore's guitar shops are rip-offs.

I have to disagree with your statement on gotoh parts are over-priced in Singapore. My comparision is based on prices compared with shops in Japan along Ochanomizu Area during my recent visit there. Our prices are approx 15% cheaper than those found in the shops such as Shimokura or Kurosawa and we have quite an healthy stock of Gotoh Parts in stock at:

i guess the downside of that would mean that you wouldn't be able to try before you buy. Especially if there are nobody who carries the product here.

even the simplest stuffs are hard to find here.. like .60 strings for my low B, 7-strings nuts, 7string tuners.
even pickups for my odd-string-guitar are effing hard to buy..

ahh..rainsong.

I almost convinced my dad to help me bring them in back in 2002-2003 after falling in love with them during a holiday trip.. but it was really just a dream (i was just a young, wet-behind-the-ears teen). And perhaps, it was good that my dad strongly said no...

But they're decent guitars... unique in their own right.

I'm pretty sure that there are some rainsongs hidden in a closet somewhere in Singapore... hmmm..rainsong owners...come out!

hmm, although voodoo lab's pedalpower is technically carried by swee lee, our dear dealer has no intention of bringing in. no surprises from a dealer who thrives on monopoly power and consumer bullying...
