Problems with Hotmail again

Before stating my problem, I'm going to press that Hotmail simply sucks. Especially with that virus where MSN makes you offline and sends the virus to certain MSN contacts in the form of a link or a file. I'm facing that problem now, but who isn't?

My problem now is that I cannot load my Hotmail properly. I can sign in, but the page just won't load properly. Everything will be all over the place, words overlapping each other, just utter mess, and all the links don't work. Anyone else having the same problem?

Seriously, Hotmail needs to buck up because the way I see it, they're lightyears behind Yahoo and Gmail. And because I need my hotmail account (my contacts just don't know how to accept that I'm using Gmail now when it comes to emails) I need some advice on how (or if) this problem can be solved, because its really disturbing.

Need some advice, people...
 
My friend used to have issue with the inbox not loading, turned out to be an issue with Singnet and their proxy server.

Why not just auto forward all your hotmail emails to your gmail , and reply from there.
 
hi, i get the problems wit MSN. its like, a "fren" will just send a msg with some link. yeah i think its some kinda virus.
 
yeah, and after a while you learn to ignore them and it will be fine :D

but yes, hotmail's interface is indeed laggy, buggy, and doesn't load quickly enough. I mean it's supposed to be for e-mail but the msn emphasis seems to be on like good looks and 'integrating' with other windows live applications which i think is where the most problem is coming from.

i mean, my computer can LAG loading windows live on IE.
 
download and use windows live mail lor. I use that liao I so much happier when checking emails. someone I can check for new emails from my other accounts like Gmail.
 
one thing solved my problem. DELETE MCAFEE antivirus

if u have mcafee, try delete.

EDIT: ok the McAfee thingy solved this issue last time, but ok it happens again now. the proxy thingy doesnt work. any ideas?

MSN is the least of my worries


There are strange people sending me weird things on my testimonial page!Not that i care cos im more into facebook but who are these people?!

My mummy will scold me for talking to strangers!
 
Good thing that many MSN users have encountered this MSN virus so they know its a virus and ignore it. I've learn't to live with it, too.

I think I must have been really pissed last night, now that I think of it, the problem resolved itself last time. But I still think I would like to switch to Gmail completely. How do I autoforward my hotmail emails to my gmail? Thanks!

You can't unless you subcribed for the paid version of hotmail.
 
i'm also having problems with hotmail. the links are all over the place and i can't read any of the messages. i use Firefox, tried Safari, both the same problem.

gah sometimes i really wish i used Gmail, but i'm lazy to change accounts.

Hey people, decided not to start a new thread. I've got yet another problem with Hotmail now. I can't load the page. Instead, I get a blank white screen and all the links and everything are all over the place. Something is wrong with the scripting I think. The worst thing is that I did it on both IE and Firefox and both have the problem.

I checked with friends online and they don't have this problem. I tried deleting private data on both IE and Firefox and it doesn't work. Lastly, I'm obviously one of the minority who get ENDLESS problems with Hotmail.

Maybe someone here has a new solution. Maybe my computer's gone to shit because no one else I've asked seems to be having this problem. Or maybe Hotmail's marginalizing some of its users. Well. I posted here because Hotmail's help and support is shit. Finding help directly from MSN is like searching for a needle in a haystack because they don't seem to want to be contacted directly.

Enough of my raving. I know I'm quite unpopular here. Why make it worse? Anyone knows how to solve this?
 
Get Windows Live Mail, the software. Comes with the bundle when you update Windows Live Messenger. I haven't had any problems accessing my mail when I had that.

well for one, don't assume it's always HOTMAIL or whatever,
do a check on your pc, chances are you've got some faults on the
files on your pc, there are all sorts of reason for that failure,
the browser, the sys files, the connection,
if your internet is slow/connection is intermitten, it would appear like that.
for those who have IE lagging, are you using IE 7?
