Problem with Effect Pedal Buzzing (Pls Help if you Can =))

Heya guys, I have a problem with my effect pedals that I have no idea how to go about solving.. so hope you guys can help =)

For starters, these are the pedals I have:

EHX Small Clone ( chorus )
Marshall Jackhammer ( dist )
Line6 ToneCore EchoPark (delay)
Boss CS3 (sustain/compress)

Also, I power all of them with a daisy chain (except the Small Clone, I use a 9V battery for that). Problem is when I turn everything on, buzzing happens. This buzzing is not due to an "earthing" problem, ie it does not go away when I touch the guitar strings or anything. Also, I realise that the buzzing becomes quite bad with the Boss CS3 and the ToneCore EchoPark. The buzzing is insignificant if I just used the distortion pedal and the chorus pedal without the compressor pedal and the delay pedal.

So is there something that I do not know about here? Am I supposed to get an additional noise suppressor or is there something inherently wrong with the pedals? I am very sure there is nothing wrong with the cables, the amp, or even the power supply of the daisy chain (I switched from a normal pedal adaptor to a 1-spot but the problem persists). So just what is the matter?

Thanks for hearing me out!!

Roy, the most likely suspect is the CS3. The pedals placement in the efx chain and it's knob settings are very critical for the compressor to compress or limit at the desired level. Anthing too much and you introduce noise. Especially when it's placed after a drive pedal set to high distortion settings will the noise be worse. Try placing the comp before the od or dist pedal. If you are playing more bluesy styles where you'll dial in lower dist settings you may get a nice soggy character in the afternote if the comp is placed after the drive pedal.

Hope this helps.

Heya!

Wow thanks for the quick reply guys... really appreciate it.

To Lifehouse:
I'm using an ibanez RG 460. cables are from Luther. I've checked the guitar, cable and amp already, thinking that they were the cause of the problems. Turns out it wasn't. But I'll take note of the white noise thingy, I think it seems to be true in my situation.

To all: Though it was a bit cumbersome, I proceeded with the following after heeding your advice:

1. I put the setup as guitar-->compressor-->dist-->delay-->chorus

2. I gave the delay pedal a separate power supply by itself.

All this seemed to reduce the white noise significantly. So now I'm just left with tweaking the settings to see if it can be better. Might consider going back city music to test-try other EchoPark pedals.

Thankyu!

Try to seperate the chorus from the rest. So you have your delay and chorus with 1 power supply, the rest with a seperate power supply. It should be even quieter when the pedals are operational.

Do also check if the dangling/free plugs of daisy chain is not in contact with any undesirable surface like the pedal metal surface. I use very high gain settings and I used to experience really screachy noises but it was all eliminated upon checking those free plugs. :)

Try isolating the Echo Park first... run it on batteries and see if you still get noise. Those things usually come with their own PSU for a reason :/

Thanks again

Thanks again for the additional comments.. i changed my email addy in my account so took some time to reactivate it again and reply to you guys.
