Pot problem

Hey softies,

I'v got a 60th anniversary Fender stratocaster, got it of a friend recently but there is a problem with the pots. They can't seem to turn at all. It's not a scratchy pot problem because i can't even turn them in the first place. Would spraying contact cleaner help?(Haven't got any right now) or must I change the the 3 pots althogether? There is still volume from the guitar though...Anyone who've had an experience like this care to share a remedy?

What model is it? MIM or MIA?

Actually both models use CTS pots. I suggest contact cleaner and/or lube without silicone.

A possible problem might have been that water got into the pots and caused them to get stuck.

there are some problem which contact cleaner nor wd 40 that can eliminate the problem

in the case where the pot cant even turn at all, the easiest way is to changed the pot to prevent recurring problem.

the innard of the pot is a small metal contact travelling along a carbon path. Last thing we wanna, is to use wd40(which is oil based) to trap whatever dust there can be, along the carbon path and present a barrier with the metal contact...
