Posting Results ( where did you end up?)

Wow, why are all of you guys trying to head overseas? I'm intending to enter FASS with a DMAT and take up History.

It's plausible but I wonder how many people actually do that...

What degree is there in that line anyway?

Erh, it's like killing two birds with one stone if I take up History. I will have a wider variety career choices since I want to be a politician and a musician.

i *could* have opted for history at FASS, which was practically the only thing i was interested in if i chose uni, but i really am looking for a degree related to DMAT, hence overseas. somehow the lasalle programme doesn't appeal to me.

i think i worded it kind of wrongly. it's not the programme, i apologise. it's more of the entry criteria. requires all the grades in music and what not, plus H2 physics AND a portfolio. :/ alternatively, could have chosen to do the foundation year, but i'd rather jump straight into it.

In these kinds of courses where recognition or diploma or degree is ambiguous, I would say go for the one which you think will benefit you more. Eg, where you will learn more, get more hands on experience with a wide range of equipments, more exposure, chance to build up a rock solid portfolio etc...

In this kind of industry where portfolios weigh much more than a cert when it comes to getting a job in a multimedia company, don't be surprised if you encounter fierce competition from some people who do not have a degree/dip in this field and/or do not even have a dip/degree at all...

yup i do intend to build a portfolio, that's for sure. if not who want to employ me? hahaha. but it's the fact that lasalle requires a portfolio already just to get in, and some people simply do not have the means to create one.

orientation camps are lame, imo. a total waste of time, cheesy ice-breakers cheers and whatnots. i didnt go for any and i turned out fine, loads of friends. didnt join a cca either.

when i did my matriculation for NP, the student leaders gave me the idea that the FOC camp was compulsory. sorry i was young and stupid at that time. so i paid up, found out it wasnt, didnt go and went to hong kong instead. hee.

there were loads of girls in too-small-for-them fbts running around today; kinda disgusting esp the horizontally-challenged ones.

Okay, I wouldn't know yet... All I know is that my jc orientation 2 years ago was quite exceptional... But then again, I self extended my "orientation" for the full of the 1st three months... Lucky they didn't abolished it then!! Total mayhem and Orchard everyday with class.. Haha
