Jus wondering what amps are you guys using with a podxtl? I am looking for one that goes well with it... can i find atomic or tech21 PE in sg?

You can use any amp. If you using the amp modelling on the XT, dun forget to kill off your amp's eq or the sound is gonna go haywire.

Don't believe when ppl say that it is only good for straight to PA or PC. But you do need to know how to adjust ur sound on the fly whenever you change amps though.

meh

podxtlive is meant fr live performance isnt that why its called live?i thought podxt pro is fr recording, well, theyre all practically the same to me but in different chasis, well i think to use what amp heavily depends on what genre u play and what amp are u favourable of...if me ah.....spare no chance!il go fr an orange amp with ts808/ts9 boost fr my OD sound

been using headphones + PC speakers~ in fact sound pretty decent on pc speakers but no 'kick'~ i did use to own a cube30x but sounded horrible with line-in or even with the amps mod off

a friend told me most amps with effect loop will work fine, is that true?

btw i play mostly rock~metal

If you are using a multi effect, amp choice is not related to what genre you play ‘cos all the tones are pre process before they reach to the amp, you can even put straight to a speaker. But amp color the tone, so you just have to tweak EQ.

I was confused. Err.. don't mind i ask a noob question. Can i have setup like this: guitar > podxt live > amp(VOX AD30vt)?

i think it's made more for recording, eg plugging into computer, mixer etc...

or plug in straight to speakers or PA

Eh? Does that mean I can plug it straight to a 4x12 speaker cab? How ah? Just jack it in the cab instead of the amp? Sorry ah, noob here.

You can't plug it directly to guitar cabs, you'll need an amp to drive the cab. Unless you got some active guitar cabs. A simple way to bypass the amp's tone stack is to plug the PodXTL into the amp's effects return, this reduces the amount of controls allowing easy tweaking. When using with amps try to turn of the speaker simulation.

Another effective way to use it live is to just skip the amp part and go direct to the PA or FOH using a DI Box. Make sure the engineer sends your guitar signal to your floor wedge or you won't be able to hear your guitar.

hey cpt_oreo~ tks for the Wharfdale man! tried some of my presets and they sure sound pretty close. anyway before there are any other 'better' options, i am gonna stick to this.

How much did the wharfdale cost? Im using a podxtl too and it doesnt go too well with the vox ad series. I am using a podxt live monitor software and playing thru my computer speakers.. I duno how accurate the sound actually is.

i always loved the sounds i had when i played thru the wharfdales, and i think the xt live works best with it. Different story when you play live though, either go thru PA, if not, get the cleanest amp possible and do some tweaking....
