Podxtl with What Amp?

How much did the wharfdale cost? Im using a podxtl too and it doesnt go too well with the vox ad series. I am using a podxt live monitor software and playing thru my computer speakers.. I duno how accurate the sound actually is.

Dude you bought it already? Haha.. Was it on the weekend we all went to the pre-sale thingy?

So you won't want to go through an amp with it?
Buying the speakers is the ideal thing to do for playing at home and recording..
But jamming and performing is another matter..

Any suggestions for speakers to suit the podxt live? For home use, so it doesnt have to be so high end/expensive!

Yea, i happen to be finidng those brands too..

Scouting the used market now.. Let me know if there is anything i may be interested in ah!

i always loved the sounds i had when i played thru the wharfdales, and i think the xt live works best with it. Different story when you play live though, either go thru PA, if not, get the cleanest amp possible and do some tweaking....

Hey capt_oreo...I'm loving the POD XT Live. I plugged it straight into my mixer and out thru my sound system...sounds awesome. I can get to sound almost exactly like Petrucci. Sad to say I've been a little lazy to learn how to create my own sounds for now...but get to it. Thanks for the great deal!

use to plug into a VOX pathfinder 15R. It sounds good. plugged direct into mixer and it sounds great. now at home it goes through my hifi player or headphones and it sounds just as good.

things to consider is that when you use your XTlive with all the diff devices, it will have to be re-configured in order to sound nice. but a general rule of thumb is that if you set it up through a less powerful sound device like a cheap headphone, when you move it to a mixer etc, it will be able to re-produce something as good, if not better.

or else save all the different setup in your patches.

Dang, i dun have any mixer or anything at home.. Only my pc and speaker.. Is there anything i shd do to my speakers to make them sound better? It has subwoofer volume control.. Should it be high or low?

hey xypher, last time when i connect to my pc speakers i forgot all about my audio software EQ, after i flat them they do sound 'good' just not loud enough

yap, actually you should try flatting all your other eq first. tweak your pod xt. after you have found the best sound out of it, then compliment the other eqs.

My soundcard EQ is always flat.. I use itunes EQ to adjust when listening to songs. I have no idea how to make my speakers have a flatter response tho.. Turning down the Subwoofer means less chugg. :(
