Pickups reviews 4 ur info

hmm its alot but ill usually take reviews frm HC with a pinch of salt. If u realise hardly any product there gets below a 6.

Ya, take it with a pinch of salt, especially now that it's bought over by musicians friend. I heard of some people who sent in negative reviews for a new product but they never came out on the review site.
It's fun to read tho' , just to know more about the product.

Pier.

for pickup reviews, it would be better to check out the Seymour Duncan forums. HC is unreliable in the sense that people tend to post the rating based on their skill level at that point of time, and most people will post if the product is good to them. (if it's average they won't post, if it's extremely horrible they would most likely post.)

while it's hard to guage pickup sounds, I think the people at the SD forums have tried to make their description fairly accurate. :)

Biased responses. You don't often get reviewers who review the pickups beyond their recommended capabilities than the genre they were "made" for. EMGs for eg., always metal, never jazz.
