Pickup recommendation for strat?

Hi guys yep its another one of these threads.

Need your help in recommending me pickups for a soon to be SSS strat.
What im looking for is basically pickups that are medium/high output with vintage flavouring.

Im currently using single coil emgs and i have to admit they're good and have changed my one bias view of emgs since. However as im not really a fan of active pickups and being rather noisy i think they have to go.

Do respond to this thread with enthusiasm :X

ehh. emg active pick up are pretty good what, sound pretty clean (no offence lah) but they are expensive. duh =/

it has to be toneriders. They give excellent tone for a price that isn't too demanding. my favorite set from them is the classic blues. fat!

O.o forgot to mention True single coils only.

Not really looking into rails/blades and all.

Er.. to the 2nd post yes i do admit that emg pickups are good however they are not what im looking for thus the need for this thread.

Why not try the Lace Sensors Holy Grails. Its pretty high output at the bridge considering its true single coils. Not to mention that they sound pretty good if used for cleans. I've have them on my strat too...

Single coils

If you are so particular then I suggest you get Kinman or Joe Bardon. But if your budget is low then I strongly recommend Tesla single coil.Good and clean tone and also sound good when using overdrive.

suhr's V60lp's are a pretty nice sounding set, but they're low-output ( read that you wanted mid-high output style pups ) and they're not noiseless, but if you can handle that, i think it's pretty much a great set of single coils to consider.

was thinking of getting em, but somehow, i procrastinated and still using my holy grails, which are also one of the best sound sets of SC i've tried.
