i've tried the Jazz III but keep going back to my Stubby...

JazzIII bad... its too short, I end up hittign the metal strings with my finger, and my fingernail started to wear thin.

And JazzIIIs... well.. sound... full but with a more subdued top end.

I use my nails for everything, from plucking to strumming, to leads.

You should try it some day. Very good if you stwich between different playing modes frequently - which I do a lot.

There are better instruments for cleaning your shit than your nails.

People like Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel - just to name a few, use their fingernails - more feel and more effective. Nice to feel the tension of the strings. Different strokes for different folks and in this case different pokes for different folks.

And you should seriously find a better way to clean yourself - not a nice thing to be walking about and shaking hands after you're done with your business.
