for club/stage its Bone material about 3mm.

in local studio session jobs, which are always commercial or pop-rock, i revert back to jazz3s, it works for me. a 0.60mm for acoustic jingle-jangle rhythms, 0.73mm for acoustic solos.

Red Jazz something... The one which is larger than the Jazz III's.

Great for all round stuff. Can easily keep it away when hybrid picking.

Its my go-to pick.

When I have time to change, tortexs for the brighter sound. I listened to shredcow's advice and there is a tonal difference.

Hmm.

I use a 0.1 stainless steel pick for my Epi SG because it completely eliminates any mud associated with the Epiphone neck pickups.

But i must say that I have already lowered the neck pickup which does reduce the muddiness.

1.5 Red Stubby Triangular pick for my Fender Tele.

0.73 triangular yellow picks (forgot what brand, but Ranking doesn't seem to have them anymore) for my acoustic steel string.

Hmm.

I'm sure between every softie, there have been countless broken strings and picks.

I only break picks when playing acoustic. Strings have an equal score for electric and acoustic.

.88 dunlop tortex (sharp tip)

too bad i dont see them around anymore.

Davis has the Dunlop Tortex Sharps. I use them for electric too, anything from .88 to 1.5mm

Hmm.

-Tany- haha then you're not playing with enough

for blues: FEEL
for metal: AGGRESSION
for rock: TESTOSTERONE
for anything else: BALLS

I use 0.88s...used the 1.0 before but ever since I used 0.88s, I stuck on to them since...

those jim Dunlop jazz 3 pickups are so versatile, not too thick, neither are they too thin and too flexible. i use it all the time. allows u to dig in/ carress strings depending on what tone u want.

jin dunlop 0.7 mm for rhythm playing and stubby 2.0 mm for ripping out solos!

my vote goes to heavy picks though, thick fat, more attack and stability \m/

Red Jazz IIIs! it comes with mojo, may colour your tone abit...

Don't like the black ones who, they are invisible when dropped into my pedalboard.
