Finally have chance to post my modified BFG. Love it now ^^. Here are the mods:
- Changed the tuning machines to Gold Gotoh Locking tuner
- Gold Marvel Strap Lock
- pickup switch-killswitch position swapped. Pups selector positioned like a normal les paul now
- Orange drop capacitor

I will replace the bridge pickup soon but still can't decide what should I put there. Thinking of putting x2N or SD Invader there
 
Bro Kahuna:I prefer Marvel compare to the others. Reason is that Dunlop doen't allow me to change to other strap and Schaller is really2 hard to take out once it stuck to a strap. I use marvel for all my guitars. never fail me before. Well, I dun do twisting guitar like malmsteen tho.

this used to be a yamaha aes620 guitar, with the flame veneer thingy ...
i removed it completely n gave it a new paint job.( how?, with candles n a a paint scrapper......)
fitted emg 81 set (thanks to dani, ) modded to 18volt (observr...)
changed the crap tom bridge to a wilkinson roller locking bridge (jkz!)
routed underneath the bridge to fit a custom brass block n brass spindle screws
brass nut
gover tuners

i present to u the polka-maha!!!

tried it on monday. the tone unplugged ti loud n clear, every note rings out loud, sustain needless to say is brill too.....if u livin near tamp, feel free to drop by to try it!
 
sorry to hijack, but anyone knows what kidna services beez does? does he sell SD pickups? does he do intonations? and whats a killswitch?

Well basically beez does guitar setups such as neck adjustments and intonations and electronics setup eg, change of pickups, coils split, and etc. Asfor pickups i dun think he carries SD stuff. As for kill switch it is basically a switch that cuts the signal frm ur guitar to the amp......so its like an on/off switch.
 
Its a mod that allows you to retain treble when the guitar's volume control is turned down. If left un-modded, this will usually result in a loss of high-end.

Perhaps you could perform a google search for some of these queries you have?
 
i already tried googlign for it. but most of the searches ended up with very complicated explanations. you guys sure made it soudn simpler. haha.

Ibanez JS1000 has a treble bleed on it. If you have the chance to try it, Pull up the vol knob & roll back the knob. you should be able to hear it.

no..i use the candle n paint scrapper to remove the flame veneer shit that was originally on it...........whole chunk of plastic..

for the paint job,its totally different thingy..

the neck for my 72 thinline telecaster build has arrived. It's a USACG, 2-piece indian rosewood neck with stainless steel frets. I love rosewood :-D


And here's a group shot of the parts (minus the electronics)
