Gee do you have a marshall amp to go with that cab? A marshall cab is for a marshal amp to sit on.. not.. what are those, wah pedals? Btw what do you use to power your effect pedals? 9v batteries or wall wart?

Hey subversion~! Seems like u have an ibanez gallery at home. U completing a personal collection eh?

Getting GAS from all ur pics :?

Beautiful 1550 you've got there. Somehow i just wish ibanez made their guitars with the thickness of fender necks. Wouldn't that be sweeter? hehe.

the 1550 was necessary to keep up with the Fenders in my collection he he, the only maple fretboard Ibanez i own...

the Prestige neck is a joy to play despite being thin. i also bought this guitar to test out the new Edge-Pro floating vibrato which gets my thumbs up. i got this for <$1K, worth every cent...

you want thick Ibanez neck- the SZ is the answer. many people were overwhelmed by the SZ neck, especially when thin Wizard necks were all they used to play. it's a little getting used to, but if Marty Friedman can shred the SZ, everybody else can... 8)

vern: i see... then yours should be the S470 instead... S5XX models were equipped with the Lo-pro Edge Vibrato, here's my S540...

Hi

I did some rooting around on the web and found several images of S570s. Here's one.

So now i'm really eager to see your catalogue. :)

That's not it. If you look closely at the string clamp screws on the trem, they are just behind the saddle and in front of the fine tuners. Mine are behind.

1550 discontinued for U.S. still available for asaian market 8)

vern: mystery solved!! your guitar IS an S570. yours should be a 1999 model. for that year, S540 were discontinued, superseded by the S570 which only lasted for a year only (there's a variation on the S570, the other being one with a koa top, looks superb!!). the S5XX all sport Edge trems before they disappeared in Y2K... subsequently, no S5XX were made, they were all propelled into the Prestige range & given a diff model number. non-Prestige range S-series to date are the S4XX models.

Wow! Good work man! How did you find all that out? :) You're some kind of Ibanez guru.

haha don't you know by now? subversion is a hoshino agent, explains why he's always advertising ibanez guitars all over soft...LOL... kidding bro..he's just a guitar fanatic who knows his shit what can i say?

btw where does he get all his ibanez axes..think rg1550 not available in sweelee, and in that candy apple finish too..and for sub 1k is a great price for a prestige ibanez..

hiya vern - here it is Michael Wolf [michaelw@mesaboogie.com]
he's the one i am liasing directly with in regards to the items. but am thinking the shipping's gonna be a bomb plus mesa does not cover anything outside U.S. so that means...no warranty lei...so whats ur plans? cheers

Thanks man. I actually found it just now the info@mesaboogie.com.

What you say isn't too encouraging though... I might just wait and see *if* Swee Lee do turn up with anything if that's the case.... no hurry, I just splurged and bought a Martin Dreadnought... :)

i got my Ibanez from Swee Lee of course he he... the RG1550CA (candy apple) is a limited finish which not many knew. the current ones left are the black/ white (with gold hardware) & the new mahogany version which i reviewed late December 2004. i learnt that if you wait for a certain model & suddenly it debuted right before your eyes, you have to grab it ASAP- that's when the price is the lowest...

em... not all ibanez, the Faded SG on Pg1 is mine, the 50th Ann Am Series strat also mine 8)

vern: i own the 1999 Ibanez catalogue, that's how i know... the S-series were virtually in limbo after Frank Gambale parted ways with Ibanez...

crappy cellphone camera :(

20 yr old Yamaha SG200, still plays like a dream! :D
and the ESP LTD EX400bd, love the emgs :D :D

this is my 50th Ann Strat after the mid-single coil was switched to a Fender 57/ 62 pickup, which is ear candy to me...

i'm not one who reveres the mid-single coil, i got really bored with the default Custom Shop '50s pickup & was looking for an inspiring unit. i chanced upon this 57/ 62 pickup & it was no turning back... the tone from this unit isn't as open as the deafult '50s, but it's got a healty midrange trim & a little more bass.

.

guitarnub: your pointy one seems to be leaning on the wall saying "hey there hamsum, come pick me up and play with me!" HAHAHAHHA

ok joke over.
