PGM3 problem.

Same old thing.
ILT bridge. It goes out of tune in 10mins of playing.
Checked Soft out, read from somewhere, and decided to change it to floyd.

But, brought it to davis, told the guy my problem and...
I was told not to waste my money. The guy told me that even if I've changed it, it will still be the same.

:? I'm confused.

Advice is a touchy area, and is confusing, because everybody has different ideas, and will try to promote to their own cause.

There's no way to know 100% for sure who's advice to take. You can go by majority, price, or someone people have had experience with and trust.

With that, and the coming more cents, here's my 2.

Bring it to a reputable tech, and find out what's the cause of the problem, and how it should be fixed.

With regards to the Trem, I've yet to hear someone swap an ILT1 and then complain the guitar doesn't stay in tune well.

Thats if you exchanged the ILT1 with a good trem.

When you buy say, a gotoh floyd, it comes with everything, locking nut, locking trem posts and new springs, the whole set. So you see where I'm getting at?

Your ILT1 is unstable.

The new trem is a whole set that would replace all the inferior parts. Complete overhaul.

But IMO. Get a nice new guitar. :)

Dudes...Which trem did u replace your ILT1 with? I dun have any tuning problems really, with the ILT1. The only sucky part about that trem is that the trem arm keeps loosening up after the first "whammy"...

Any direct trem replacement? without affecting the depth of the cavity.

lol yeah just change the bridge. my fren just swapped the bridge on his jem jr (similar to PGM3 with the 1LT)as well and everything was alright after that. get new pickups. EVOS or sth cos they sound good with ibanez's basswood body.

u dont really need to spend a bomb on a new guitar, get a mid priced one and mod it it if you want playablity and arent really concerned about resale value of your guitar.

allstarguitars... hmmm.... thats extremely fortunate. I've never used, heard, read about, an ILT1 bridge that performs well.
