Performance advice

Ace is the EXTREME man. I wonder how many Les Paul's he has fried and burnt big holes in with his on board "smoke machine"

Haha yeah maybe try getting your school mates tha get up their feet and you body surf or something. But please remember, put your guitar down first. Lol unless it is some Kapok as mentioned.

go on stage half naked wearing your school pants(low) with a les paul(low too) and a cigar dangling in your mouth and wear a wig(a long one) like those afros and let it cover your face...

Schools won't allow body-surfing or moshing. Defintely no smoking.
Only way to make a staement is through the music or your attrie.

well...this is what i think lah
first thing...smashing a guitar wont work for a performance in school.seek permission from the teacher in charge first before you do it.

stage diving and body surfing.....er...
crowd interaction is good, but depending on the crowd, if they are really for the gig by all means, get them to mosh/bang =X
if they are just sitting there for the sake of watching then it's really hard to get them up moving.
they might be thinking, what the hell are these guys playing?

i wanna make it the best show in the school, like nobody has done before, with lights, sounds, blabla & moolah.

the thing is that, bands formed by express stream people have always been looked down upon by the normal technical (no offense to any NT people, but it is very true in my school).

we're gonna show that we're not all book and no play.

rock&roll is what it's always has been all about. it's in our blood man LOL.

Hmm.. Showmanship is the BEST!! Even you make mistakes its ok as long you have SHOWMANSHIP!! Hahaha.. gd luck for your performance.. :D :D

well, id did this to my guitar actually, not sure if it works in real life... i bended sparklers to the nazi(swastika) logo, but never actually lit it up... another way, if your concert hall is kinda dark, you can ask the teachers for the 'start-stop' vision... however most schools i've seen are close-open kinda doors, so you wont have much of darkness in there(like a concert hall should)get a long cable(50feet), wear your school uniform(unique) with the tie, but really sloppy(as in pants low, shirt tucked in and tie worn a lil loosely) after all you've ta respect the school right? :D

haha i won't do alcohol. 1) underage, 2) against morals..

yeah..the part about showmanship...i've been trying to create KISS-style moves since im a huge fan of them..is it a good idea to make a fake guitar out of styrofoam then smash it?

KISS is mainly doing sex-appealing moves on stage man.. I got their DVDs esp e one they did with the Australian Symphony.. ROXERIFIC!!

I personally don't suggest too much wild movements bec its a sch ultimately & you're there to pay tribute to the teachers, not yourself. Gotta get your focus rite?

Yea man, no matter how big the stage, how small, whatever, it's a must. Or else no one would wanna watch the show, even if the songs are good. Respect the school by not disgracing the uniform, but i personally feel it's alright to go wild playing the guitar. Try doing this, get a friend to record your band practice session down, one where you guys "practice" showmanship, so you'll know what to do right, and what not to do.

aw man!!! that's wicked! i've only heard audio rips from the concert but never got to see it. i heard that the symphony orchestra themselves wore KISS makeup.

some of my teachers are into KISS too, so well, hahaha. of course i won't go overboard and put makeup, dress like Paul.. i'm looking more at their unmasked era.

Haha

Haha I watched the entire show, about 3-4 hours with part I combined with the Orchestra & all put KISS make-ups. Some gurls even reveal their titties & its jus an EXPLOSIVE NITE in Australian history!!

Man!! KISS is certainly 1 of the most entertaining bands I've ever seen!! Not to mention that they are "SENSUAL" too!!

Their songs make ladies wanna strip & dance.. and that's AWESOME!!
