Pedal Problem

ok,i dunno if this has been discussed before or not.if it has,please link me to it.

ok heres the prob,
if i had three pedals,should i have adaptors for all three of them? or just one to power up all the pedals?

and yeah,i'm really new to using more than one pedal at a time.

you CAN use a PSA adapter and a daisy chain to power all of them together. i would recomend a VISUAL SOUND 9v adapter together with a VISUAL SOUND daisy chain with perpendicular heads. will cost you together less than 50 bucks.

theoritically you can power up multiple pedals with single adaptor, as long as the adaptor can support total current the pedals need and as long as all the pedal using the same voltage.

But practically you would find certain pedals will generate noise when sharing adaptor with other pedals.

yeah the visual sound 1 spot is a good solution to ur prob.

i use it with um...8 pedals and there's no hum!

yup the thing to look out for is the current supply.

and the polarity too. advisable not to use onespot with LINE 6 pedals as they require abit more than 9v, when underpowered it generates hum.

Not neccessarily applies to all Tonecores. My old Uber Metal and Verbzilla didn't hum a single bit.

There's a fellow selling the VS 1spot plus daisy chain on Luther's now, might be worth checking out. :wink:

me too, i'm using a tonecore pedal with the 7 other pedals i mentioned and i dun get noise. it's the earlier tonecore pedals tt has the noise issue.

Yeah 1-spot is good. I'm powering 10pedals with 2 units and it's perfect up till now. It's been more than a year already.

it depends on how much power your pedals need. theone spot can supply 1500mA of current. Overdrives and distortion need very little maybe 100mA but digital delays need a few hundred. the line 6 pedals need a damn lot. the DL4 needs 1200mA. so if your just running a few overdrives and a delay a single one spot with a daisy chain will be fine.

i run 2 one spots, one for my dl4 and another to power the rest of my pedals.
