Pearl masters custom mmx help !!!

wow 15 and using a reference. great man. and playing for 4 years. cool stuff.


you know what actually. if you are only using that kit at home for practice, is it necessary to get such a good kit? home practice only what unless you will bring it out often to gig la. thats my point of view. but nonetheless its your choice. haha i just quoting my drum teacher. i am only 18 so not that mature to say such deep stuff but yea. what he said really struck me hard. so i told myself slow down man.


but get it if you really wan alright, dun mean to discourage you.

Thinking of expanding my set even bigger.
Right now i m using 16' HHX studio crash, 16' A custom crash, 20' K custom dark ride, 6' and 8' HH splash, 20' Solar ride and Vault 18' crash.

What do u think i should add to my set ?

haha get cymbals and snares at least if you gig you may bring them.

What kinda stuff do you play? And what are you using the Solar as?

With regards to the snare, did you get the Ref as a shell pack, or did the Ref snare come with it?

Keep the Ref, it kills. Unless, of course, you're absolutely sure the Masters would be more suitable.

Wow!! U owned a Pearl Reference!!! Why would u need to get a Pearl Masters when the Pearl Reference is more than suffice..

Really weird..

Hmm.. its like wanting a Toyota after acquiring a Volvo in terms of sound and aesthetics..

U really should stick and keep the Pearl Reference.. Its one of the best sounding drums out in the market.

haha, thts funny. Yea not gonna buy masters already. done alot of thinking. gonna buy new snare. And no the reference snare never come together. only tom toms and bass drum. thinking of getting chad smith snare and tama steel soprano and starclassic bubinga snare or pearl carbon fibre snare ?
wad do u think ? I at least got to get 2 snares. one main and one side.

Don't ever trust Chromatix aka Donald. He's not a trustworthy seller.

Agreed on a price on his snare, and when I went there to pick it up (it was a 30 minutes drive), he didn't show up and then demanded more money. And now he's trying to sell his MMX kit.

It's not just me but check out other drum threads in Malaysian music forums, he is 'very well-known'.

I m thinking of getting the PEARL MASTERS CUSTOM series but i do not know where and how ?

Can anyone help me with this ?

Anyway this are my specs for the masters.

Ocean Sparkle Pearl Masters Custom MMX (18x22",16x16",11x14",8x12" )
And i was also wondering if they come with stands ?
