thanks yous for the enlightenment..

earlier this morning on the way to work, my mind drifted off to a local music festival where we got all the important and deserving bands from the golden era to reunite for a special gig. can you imagine bands like humpback oak, sugarflies, pagans, stroll, padres, the ordinary people, edgars fault etc etc all sharing the same stage alongside still active and gigging bands like concave scream, force vomit or whatever you can think of now? all local, no filler...we got so much talent here in sg!

The difficult one will be Pagans since live and loaded show already tried asking them and it was not possible. Perhaps you guys here more power ah, can convince.

Hurhurhur, bro e bro, I is liking it... but Vivian of the Obs was telling me that the Humpback Oak catalogue is locked up by the publishing rights by Pony Canyon in KL or Tokyo (can't remember). Clearing licensing issues might be a problem.

But seriously, we thought of doing a series of podcasts last year and basically had a rough treatment/ working script written out for the first 6 episodes. We never got around doing it though.

Maybe we can find a few flends to do together hor?

Heh, I think bro Ken bro from the enigmatic army is shooting a rockumentary about Singapore rock legends and where they are now. The Pagans are supposed to be featured. Not too sure how that has turned out.

If Club Ecstacy ever plays again, I'm sure we will see bro edder bro going up to the front with 2 glo-sticks and doing his Batu Pahat shuffle...
 
Can someone do up an internet mixtape of music from the golden-era bands with some artwork? I wouldn't mind passing it around to increase the awareness of them nice music, and also help overcome some ignorance on my part. :)
