P90s, is this true?

even a classical geetar, acoustic geetar with no pickup can do harmonics as well, different type somemore...

pickup?? What pickup?? Waste time only

Well I don't think pickups matter much but your pickup position matters more, the bridge position tends to capture harmonics or pinch harmonics better then the neck.

i own a p-90 equipped Edwards (above); a prominent harmonics presence would be related to drive/ distortion issues more so than the pickups per se.

Hmm.

As mentioned above, harmonics are more to do with technique rather than the guitar's pickups... I can do pinch harmonics on an acoustic guitar, just right hand technique man!

Pinch Harmonics are generated by the very high-frequency wave vibrations of each string. A high-output humbucker would definitely produce a much more "obvious" and louder sound that a mid-output single coil.

Also, as mentioned above, the position of the pickup would also affect the harmonics, being louder and clearer at the bridge, etc.

Turning the tone all the way down cuts down the treble, presence and a bit of mid on the sound, thus, stopping the sound of the pinch harmonic from sounding. Boosting the distortion or turning the gain up would allow the harmonic sounds and frequencies to be picked up more easily.
