hey peeps...i wanna look for an overdrive/dist pedal with good sustain and a warm tone.Tried the ts9 and i find it too weak though i kinda like the sustain.Ohya i play alternative rock like incubus and muse and my budget is below 150....any decnt pedal u guys can intro?

Guitar buy/sell - Boss SD-2.

The lead mode is quite good sounding. The crunch mode is pathetic but moddable.

The lead mode is really the whole point of the pedal when stock.

$100 for it should be a deal.

Get OS-2 lah... Overdrive and Distortion... the tone's good..

Or the Jackhammer toom it's the same thing, but tone i dunno.
Both are real budget.

I dunno abt the OS-2 but the Jackhammer's a nifty pedal. Stock, its bassy but just turn down the bass... has a great eq. I'd think the Jackhammer sounds better than its value.

bro, the TS9, inherently is a very mild drive type pedal, it's not suppossed to be intense (even the TURBO Tubescreamer is mild...). let this not be the benchmark for your desired overdrive needs.

some stuff which might be to your interest:

*Rocktron- Sonic Glory
*Marshall- Guvnor
*Carl Martin- Crunch Drive
*Digitech- Tone Driver

still on the Tubescreamer front; the TS7 has a HOT mode which injects more drive- this might be to your liking 8-)

I like the rocktron sonic glory. Nice OD, that can be used as a mild OD to even a hint of distortion.
Nice for stacking too!
But perhaps the Marshall Guvnor distortion will appeal to you more..

sahasrara..... dont think it will be within his budget.... but its a very nice OD... played a friends one and its quite remarkable

Hmm.

I would recommend the Guvnor+, which is currently sitting on my pedalboard. From solid rhythm crunch to very clear and saturated lead tone.

heh sasharara not so rich la.....not like someone can buy super charged overdrive. heh is the discontinued boss SD 2 dual overdrive good?

Its pretty good la to me....i used to used one and i loved the lead channel...only thing is get a footswitch to change mode cos everytime wanted to solo had to bend down to change...hahha....it was one of the few drive pedals that sounded good to me without stacking...cos im a fan of stacking pedals! too bad that pedal got stolen...friend borrowed it for use in his jamming studio then some mats koped it......:(
