[OT] - A moment of silence for Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter

very irritating. the nice ppl at msn didn't put in a croc for emoticons for a reason. so when steve irwin died(which i bet everyone predicted would happen), ppl wouldn't put a silly croc ontheir nicks, oh look what sg ppl have done. bootlickers!

chill out man.

So Animal Planet is gonna cancel shows that involves Steve Irwin in their schedule list... Perhaps, they would come out a documentary about him in months or years to come... There so much respect we all have for this guy... it's evident in this forum...

While all of us feel the lost of this man, it makes me sit back and ponder. He's famous. Lots of people know him. How long will he be remembered? How will he be remembered?

A statue in his honour?

A street/town/area named after him?

In a couple decades, the name we have will be forgotten, or if remembered, only in several mediums (books, structures etc) that after a short while, people forget the person, only remembering the acts.

Kinda ironic that the "-" on one's tombstone between his birthdate and deathdate, is really all that man can do.

He'd probably get a street...or a holiday named after him...I guess...but yea, in 20 years to come, not many will remember him...but there will still be people who will remember him...

he's probably having fun with Crocs now in the Animal Otherside

RIP to one of the entertaining animal show hosts...

The Crocodile Hunter (In memory of his death )
-credits to Richard

He was a wildlife warrior
Raised in the land down under
An alligator wrestler
A saint to Mother Nature

A voice for all the animals
From land to shining sea
A human with a caring heart
Who fullfilled his destiny

The Crocodile Hunter's now an angel
He's somewhere up in Heaven in that wildlife in the sky
September 4th the world will hold a vigil
Cos' he never had a chance to say goodbye

We've seen him in the jungles
Wearing Khaki shorts and boots
Ol' Steve Became an idol
When he said "Ain't she a Beaut"

He spoke in rapid-fire bursts
with that famous Aussie accent
And provided entertainment
one hundred n' one percent

The Crocodile Hunter's now an angel
He's somewhere up in Heaven in that wildlife in the sky
September 4th the world will hold a vigil
Cos' he never had a chance to say goodbye

Rest In Peace Steve ..

His closest loved ones shld remember him. That should be enough isn't it?

everyone will appreciate what he has done to make the australia zoo , he will always be remembered

Maybe they should name their nature reserve or zoo after him, he done alot for australian wildlife. or set up a wildlife conservation fund named after him.

All this talk about dying while doing something that you love but how many of us would actually be wanting to be alive doing something we hate....

GOD BLESS YOU STEVE... another great human being gone, we'll miss you.
