the voltage rating is the amount which you cap can take, without making them explode. For electric geetar, the voltage we are dealing with, is at most couple of milivolt, very very very tiny amount. The huge voltage rating cap other then being bigger in size and taking up more space in the cavity, it doesnt really affect the sound.
For comparison, our household supply, is at 230vac, 415vac for train station lighting supply, 600vac for light rail kinda transport system supply etc. Heh, your 600volt rating cap is enough to put in some circuit meant for bigger thingy. Its not wrong thou, if you are happy with it
but bare in mind that the voltage rating aint the one doing magik to the sound
the value of the cap and material of it is the one that make a difference to the sound. No better or worse, just different...
