I'm curious... how many here have actually seen (I mean in person, not thru mp3) Shredcow play? I mean REALLY play, as in sit down, seriously just play, and not noodling around to try guitars or amps... on a 6 string... Nevermind his 8 string...

practicing scales smartly is a good start
applying theory to your playing and soon you will be shredding in no time

that is dhalif... LOL. you can try to listen to some really fast songs like songs from dragonforce etc.. then learn some shredding techniques like alternate picking or tremolo picking which are easier (compared to sweeping)...

hmm,drummer,start with your alt picking slowly.then try to go faster and faster.picks might help too(jazz III or v picks).
