the guitar is recorded much better than before. can hear that your fingers are stronger too. the melody of the song can be improve. there are a few time where the pitch is not accurate. like you want to hit a D note but then you hit a C# and try to pitch up to between C# and D.

oh, another thing, you encoded your song too high bitrate. 256Kbps? make lower, easier to stream. 96Kbps

And yep, mr soft. I kind of realized that it's a little out of my vocal range, but if I have to go into a falsetto(or whatever it's called) to hit the note it won't sound nice. I'll probably go down a step or two the next time.

And the bitrate part... got it. I just uploaded at a high bitrate cause I was pretty excited about the quietness. Hahaha.

The only thing missing are hooks in the song.... unless ur aim was to create the music that way, i think all u need will be more distinct and interesting hooks in the song... cheers...

the acoustic sounds great i thought. nice and clean. voice just a tad muffled mix wise, thought it could do with a little crispness. but those are mix issues, you do have a nice voice. what acoustic u using?

Hook? I'd have thought the 'Alexxxandraaa' bit would've sufficed. But okay, since more than one person has the same sentiments, I'll keep that in mind. =)

I'm only starting out in mixing, so I'll learn. Thanks for that tip, fibre. i'm using a lowend Yamaha F340 acoustic, but with new bright strings at the time of recording. =D

once again, great acoustic playing! i like it the way that it is very very very clean playing! two thumbs up! plus good quality recording..wow! great covers! u made me ur fan..

just thought that you could make it even better by beefing up the sound with another guitar or something cos i thought it sounds a bit empty somewhere... that maybe just me...

ya... i definitely hope that vocals could be added to more than words... btw.. i thought the ending was abit abrupt.. mayb ending like the original with a little arpeggio would be nice nvm the tapping(just acrobatics)...

just curious... what gear are you using... and where do you get ur tabs, or u just listened and arranged urself... thnks

ob: Thanks for the critique! I play as a solo musician, so I don't usually bother adding riffs and lick over the chords I'm playing - because it's a shame not to be able to hear them live. Same with backup vocals. But I'll keep that in mind, and do something to the next original I write.

Recording gear I'm using would be a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer, a shure mic and an Echo Gina 20 soundcard. Recorded guitar with mic. I don't think it sounds nice at all with the little stickon pickup I bought.

For covers I usually don't bother tabbing myself. So I just check them out at http://ultimate-guitar.com .

eve: Haha too young to marry lah... Angel - I've always wanted to be able to play the piano so that I could play that song. It just doesn't sound as good on the guitar. Hmm. One day! Hahaha. And thanks for the comparison to movie soundtracks! I think.
