OFFICIAL- Show us your kits thread!

Sweet Jesus, look at all these kits. Sexy-as-hell pies and snares.

Alvyn: The longer you leave it there, the more gunk would be left behind. Right...?

True eh... hmm I think I'll need remove it soon hehe.

Anyway I used to work at yamaha ps... and i always messed around with K custom crashes. One of the crashes that I really couldn't stand were all the fast crashes :/

okay well the only K's ive got are a K dark crash, K custom dark crash and a K custom dark ride. So what's good about them K fast crashes?

That's not one of the crashes you can't stand, that's a whole lotta' em :o What's not nice about the K fast crashes?

I can't pin down what I really dislike about them, but i guess it stems from my dislike for "fast" crashes as a whole - ie. avedis fast crashes etc. For some reason or another, I've always felt that they sounded too thin and can't make their presence felt.

I've always been an A custom fanboy... especially the 17" and the 18". It feels "buttery" and smooth, yet makes its presence felt without any problems at all. I LOVE the K custom dark crashes, especially the 18 incher. That crash is bloody fantastic and amazing.

personally i don't like fast crashes too....it started with the A custom..then later the K custom.....i have not tried the Hybrid though...

I heard Vinnie played on his video years ago, all A custom fast...since the pro uses it...so i dare not comment..hehe

But now..someone say don't like...i also felt the same...

Hi guys here's just an update of my kit. You can check out the old set up on page 63. Not much changes. Just no more electronics. Different items added are 3 parts from an old Maxwin by Pearl - 12"X9" tom, 16"X floor tom and on the extreme left and a 14"X6" Snare. A new cymbal added on the extreme left is a 14" Zildjian Sound Effects Oriental China "Trash" :)

Yea I regret getting my AVedis fast crash but the K custom ones are much nicer. I want to get a k custom dark crash next, or should I get a K dark?

dont have a mirror infront of my kit.. but i always grab my practice pad and seat, place them infront of a full length mirror to practice.

Mainly try to look out for my posture and stick height eveness.

But HQ, your mirror is full length to the max! Mine cannot fight yours.

And yeap! Like Reuben says, it can be used to observe your postures. Generally, I think if you look awkward or weird playing something, chances are, it just might not be the right way to play/execute them. Then, you might probably want to change your posture or setup one way or another to curb any bad habits that might develop into something hurtful to your physique.

One other good thing is, you can check out your "drummer's face." LOL!

haha, well you dont really need a full length. As the rest have mentioned, posture and just basically observe how i play. Watching the hand technique and stuff like that. For that though i'll usually move a snare off to the side to get better angles to observe the hands.

Updating my drum profile after making some changes since my last post...
