i heard pretty good reviews for gretsch blackhawk, great kit! not only ranking sports lah, luthermusic also got sell 8) :D so how's the sound of your gretsch drumkit, crue?

i just got it a couple of days back fr luthermusic....
so far it sounds great!
but one thing thats no so happening is that the floortom is attached to the ride stand...i personally find it very unstable. :(

hanging floor tom i thought resonates better...hmm

but nicer what no legs...very restricted lei with legs around haha...

great setting cure ^ ^ better than that time when i see it...so much neater...hope u enjoy ur new set :D

HAPPY DRUMMING!!!

Cheers!!

Haiya. I wish I can buy acoustic drum and place it in my house. I was looking at some of the posted pics, and presume some of you guys are of course, HDB dwellers and the question again is how in the world can these people play drums in a HDB environment? :?

Many factors...

- light drumsticks or rods

- thin and dark cymbals

- sound proofing of the room: carpet, thick window curtains, timber furnishing

- small kit like Rhythm Traveller...

- take advantage of noisy events taking place a the void deck - Malay wedding, funeral wake, RC events or some religious festivals

- finesse in drumming 8)

widen the legs of the ride stand and adjust in such a way that one leg is direct underneath at the centre of the floor tom.

i've done it already but i still find it unstable....its ok when i play but i dislike the way that a tom so big is dependant on just a stand...oh well.
cheers neeways
