Hi ahpek, actually i'm in 2 minds abt it. I love the cross-sticks and the rim shot Its quite warm too.It gives me the versatility i need in terms of dynamics and tone too. But recently, i went to bangkok and came across some porkpie snares which were more than 6 inches deep and i fell in love with the sound...but they were selling for like 900 SGD man..Siao right...Aiyah, eversince that trip, my Pacific snare doesnt sound so nice anymore..and its 14" feels slightly too big...An ideal snare for me right now would be the Akira Jimbo 13" by 7" model...but i understand there are very few in singapore.

You also have a wooden hoop snare rite? Do you like its tone?Or you looking for something else?

Thanks. But i quite like the Constinople Cymbals from BebopIggy...Btw, does anyone know who can rivet cymbals? And how much?

Yep, i do have a wooden hoop snare and it's tone is just nice for me. Currently not looking for snaredrums cos i have mix collection of soild maple, metal and wooden snaredrums(10", 12" 13" and 14") in hand already.
Yep, in Bangkok, my fren's shop, The Drumtech Centre, have a lot of good stuff.
For the Akira Jimbo snare, it's good too. You can check it out at Music Plaza, think the price is about $700plus -$900plus.

izit me or do hipgigs have "JAZZ" written all over them?

hhaa

Maybe it's because of the small size, and most jazz drummers are accustomed to playing a small kit. It also suits the music as it is not that loud.

I love the Constantinople very much too, but it's very costly. The 20" Light ride cost me S$500 and the 22" Medium ride cost me S$650!

Beautiful stick definition: it doesn't goes "ping", it goes "tick", and nice wash!

If you have Zildjian cymbals, you can send to them for riveting, but not too sure about other brands though.
