OFFICIAL- Show us your kits thread!

Alvin, do you, by any chance, have recordings of that kit being played?

Jasper, I found one recording posted up by Lily!! Can't see me cos she captured using her notebook camera....but sounds quite decent. We had an unrehearsed session at Dubliner (off Oxley road). I will be there again 2 fridays from now and you can come check it out yourself if you want.

Hey Nicholas, you can try it when you come for lessons the week after next! By the way, Aaron had good things to say about you today! Great job!

And that Warlord snare is a real good deal!!

Brady drums! I remember using one and it was really nice. Could also be the size of it. 14x7 I think. Very different from the usual snares I use. Too bad it's not that popular here. Brady drums are very highly regarded in Aussie if I'm not wrong right?

Where did you first gig at 17? Hey, I think we off the thread topic liao... nobody here wants to hear us rant on without pics. LOL!

Pearl Demon Drive. I'm going to have a go at it next week then to see whether the demonic part is your feet or the pedals... LOL! Very comfy some more! I want custom made pedals can or not? Maybe suggest to Pearl to start taking orders for custom pedals? Just like Masters Custom drums? My shoe size is 8.5! LOL! Joking la...

Yup, Brady is from Western Australia and got really popular because they started using Jarrah which is a kind of hardwood found only in Australia. They are highly popular not just in Australia but everywhere! Their list of drummers are huge!

At 17? Ha, I did so many....some glamorous and some not too glam (I remember this old cha cha club called Peace Pub...damn chialat, floors covered with old mosaic tiles) haha! First paid gig was at World Trade Centre ($30 per musician for 2 sets!!) Haha!!! Then moved on to 2 clubs in Marina South which both are already no longer in business, then slowly moved into local clubs like weekends at HardRock Cafe, Brannigans to full contracts at Body Shock, Culture Club, Paulana Brauhaus at Millenia etc just to name a few when I was about 18- 24.....then enough is enough and I flew off for 5 years...

Holy Macaroni Alvin!! You bought THE pedals!
It actually looks like some kind of mothership or something man. Like you will start floating with rotating lights and all when you play on them! LOL

Shall find time to drop by again soon. With my Chamberlin snare too hehe ;)

I'm interested to try your Brady snare. Wanna hear the difference between maple and jarrah. Flew off to where?About the pedals, no worries dude! The pedals I have tried already. I wanted to take a look at your other snares too! Tried to PM you about next week but it's full! Most probably questions about the new demon drive? LOL! Which one next week for yr appointment??

Hi Daniel,

Can try my Brady, but gotta wait for me to get the new snare drop-clutch fitted. A friend is shipping one over from Melbourne cause the old one broken after I dropped it at a gig.

Flew off to Melbourne to finish my BA in Music Performance and taught in 2 schools over there (one of which Aaron, soft's Malmbas, if took over after I left).

My medical appointment? Its this coming Monday. I'll be back at work the next Monday.

Speak soon!

Here's mine set up..
