[Official] SAOSIN to open for INCUBUS: 7 March 2008

I bought the ticket thinking that it is going to be an Incubus concert.

I have close to no interest in watching Saosin play.

The least they could do is GIVE ME BACK SOME OF MY MONEY for the time they are robbing me off.

What on earth is Sistic trying to do? Cover losses? This is cheating!

wow, I am shock to see the so called SOFT musicians dissing other musicians/genres/bands. I would understand if non-musician does it but we are suppose to be learner of music.

Remember the reason why we play/learn music.

Oh bro soft,

You should know there's always been tension between different genres. Dissing was just a matter of time, right gig, wrong bands, and a few idiots allowed on the internet.

Welcome to the Golden Age.

ahkiatt, do you personally feel that it is good to diss other musician/band/genre ?

Or, who here feel that it is right to diss?

HAHA! INTERVIEW! Or rather, rhetorical question.(each to his own)

So, on to bigger issues, who is going to make this place diss/idiot-free?

And bro soft,

Discrimination will always exist, so let's ignore that for a moment.

My main point here is that I'm now paying to watch a band that I did not know was playing when I bought my ticket. Yes, the small print at the back of the ticket says that "the promoter may add, withdraw or substitute artistes....."

I still feel cheated, and do not feel proud.

staind's breakthrough came when they opened for a limp bizkit concert. at that time limp bizkit was huge shit. then they became rubbish and staind was easily more relevant

and now, nu metal is dead

=ahkiatt

relax bro they are just the opening act. the headliners are still incubus

no disrespect to the firefight and WGB, but they opened for switchfoot recently, and it would be quite a BIG stretch to say that the 3 bands actually 'shared' the stage

I was planning to have a good time grooving to Incubus' music. Now that Saosin is performing as well, we can only presume that there will be "kids" who will mosh. I'm 158cm bro, no where near the size of a bull, and would describe myself as a pacifist. I'm there to have a good time, not get pushed around like a rag doll. Certain music genres calls for certain styles of "dancing". I hope you guys understand my plight.

P.S. Even if not many people mosh, why risk it? X)

i guess the show is still gonna be a great one.
no need to worry this much.
think about music fest sometimes more than 100 bands from different genres but they still can pull it off.so it's only 2 bands in 2 diff genres,no big deal.
relax, enjoy the show.and i dont think the performing time of incubus will cut shortened coz of saosin as open act.
i used to hate open act coz it's a waste of time but in this case, saosin's a good band and it's totally worth to take a look even you never listen to them.
im 100% satisfied with this set.

Pfft... this thread is getting childish and immature.

I totally agree with James, there's no needs to diss bands and such. Both are great bands and have their own group of followers. Sad to see the bands getting dissed here by closed minded people.

fret not my fellow Incufans.

lets not get into trouble on the day or here with the saosin fans. :P

i know we'll deserve a better performance on that day.

much love.

:)

I think ahkiatt has a point though. Moshing affects people around who don't want to mosh . It would difficult to move to another spot in a concert, not to mention irritating if you got the "optimum" view.
