I get ahkiatt's point.
I think LAMC made a booboo here. Not a huge one, but still a booboo.
You don't put Saosin together with Incubus. Fans of jazz ("mature") and hardcore("childish") don't mix. It's not gonna be good for Saosin playing in front of people who don't really like their kind of music.
And I think it's really unnecessary to be dissing Saosin.

Here's a suggestion for the Saosin fans who are a little on the fence about paying $125 for the tix to the whole Incubus concert:
If you buy 10 tickets (or more) in one purchase at any Sistic outlet, instead of $125, each ticket will only cost you $95!
(Hurry though, because this offer ends on March 6th)
If not, then just show them your student ID card and you can purchase a single ticket for $115.
And also, Saosin will be playing a 1-hour set

Like James said..it's still all music..everyone is still making an effort and working hard.
Going to a live show you'll experience many different types of people and if you can't take the heat or mosh or whatever..just find a spot where you'll be safe and happy.
I'm sure LAMC worked damn hard to please you guys by bringing in Saosin and Incubus. So in we should thank them instead. Since the band is nearby during that period, it only makes moneysense to bring them in at a cheaper price and let everyone enjoy..unless of course you're willing to pay..say another $125 to catch them on another day. 1hr set is still all good. There are lots of logistics involved..and everything incurs costs!

anybody has any idea who the sponsors are for this show?
my concern is that saosin eats into incubus' original set time. I can respect their music as much as anyone wants but the thing is i paid good money for what I thought was an exclusive experience with incubus. so news that i might be getting a diminished product since theyll be sharing the stage with another band, especially one that i'm not a fan of, is quite a bummer lol. Its like paying 4 bucks for briyani and the dude comes back with half a plate of briyani and half a plate of towgay. might be cool for you briyani-towgay fusionists, but i hate towgay ah.
So yea theres my drift ah. if incubus is still gonna be playing a full, uncut set, then I'll be quite fine with this arrangement.

HAHAHAHA. What a joke. Hardcore = childish. I feel slightly offended too man. I didn't know liking hardcore music means i'm childish. That's a crazy theory you've got there dude/babe. Bad joke too.
I WAS a hugeee Saosin fan until Anthony Green left (i still respect them a lot as a band though). Heh. ANYWAY, i think younger audience will have a chance to catch THE band that influenced some of their favorite bands right now. I think it's good for both bands. Incubus fans who are more open to music in general, give Saosin a chance. They might impress you. Who knows? You paid for the ticket, catch 2 bands. SHIOK WHAT. However, i hope Incubus' set will not be shortened because of the inclusion of Saosin.
And to those "My music is THE shit, yours sucks ass!" or "AH-TAS" sort of Incubus fans, Incubus THEMSELVES will be ashamed of you.

if the moshers are good, they'll create a circle and stick to it, much like that at singfest.. it was way calmer after they formed it.
Saosin bigger than Incubus? You gotta be kidding me..
That's a reason why its saosin opening for Incubus, not the other way around.
If I'm not wrong the only reason Saosin's tagging along, cause of the soundwave festival in AUS held the week before where they will be playing together with tons of other powerful bands too.. Bring in Divine Heresy and Shadows Fall too man!

foo fighters didn't play 3 songs lah. they started with an accoustic version "this is a call" cuz their drummer then( their first drummer) was down with a fever and cant play alot of songs but they still rocked out for around 45mins to an hour.
No point complaining cuz you get to see two bands for a very reasonable price. If you find the crowd annoying, i guess just ignore the crowd and just enjoy the music.
