:?:

i bought graphitall, but havent used it yet cos havent changed strings yet.

the one i bought is the new white one.
if graphitall is good enough for SRV, its good enough for me :P

the nut sauce tho looks easier to apply.
while that finger-ease looks like another version of fast fret, completely different product from the first two.

I believe GraphitAll can be apply to the fulcrum of tremolo, nut and saddle too, not only string :?:

uhh yea, like i said, once i change strings which is very soon then i'll place it at the nut and saddles.
its not meant for putting on strings.

anyone knows where to get big bends nut sauce or any of these products and for how much? there's this irritating click sound when i tune my g string which means that the nut isnt lubricated i think.

daryl a friend of mine used to have that problem too but solved it by winding more rounds of string around the post. do try that to see if it works.

the clicking sound cud most likely came from the nut slot not cut properly or that the gauge of the g string is slightly different to which the nut was set up originally for certain gauge.

I might be wrong thou. Try the wind more round method and if it solve the problem, good. If not, check with any guitar tech.

Anyway, pencil lead is my choice of lubricant and its been working fine. Or if not, change to tusq nut, that should solve the lubricating part.

im using 10-42 which is pretty normal for a gibson sg. i sent for setup at guitar connection and the problem was gone for a few months but its back again! i'll try lubricating. thanks :D

  for crying out loud ...what you have is a guitar not a bike !!!
Just do this...everytime you change strings >>> clean , dry and apply pencil led on the nut and its so Not rqd on your bridge....just keep it clean ...
NO OIL BASED SOLVENT PLEASE !!!!

do a proper set-up ...browse the net ...if you not sure how to... play tight
and give us some good tunes :D

pencil lead? I heard this before but just do not know how to go about doing it....

is it literally shaving off the led from your pencil and sprinkling it on your
nut?

or you could just take the pencil and start colouring the nut  , no really literally take a pecil and start shading at ur nut...juz sounds so wrong

just get a mechanical pencil and "write" onto the offending points.

after if you're feeling EMO you that can poke take mechanical pencil right thro the heart.

you write on the nut. :) no need to shave... just write... mechanical pencils should be able to get into the thinner nut slots.

if you have doubts, try shading an area on paper, den rub your finger on it, den try rubbing your finger on a non shaded area, but be warned, have an eraser in hand, if not gonna be quite messy

anw 2nd point, notice that when you shade an are with a pencil, that that area is slightly reflective, this indicates that it has a smooth surface, meaning that its well....smoothy 8)
