nu-metal:exist or extinct?

IMHO ..nu metal is way nicer...no offence to metalcore lovers...

metalcore vs numetal ehh... idk, perhaps it wun really be a hot topic

metalcore contains cheesy tunes. and btw shredcow, u got to understand that system of a down are not serious on stage, ok maybe except the drummer. So yea Daron goes out of tune and shit...haha..theyre just like monkeys on stage, look at serj for instance, doing all those funny shit..haha theyre an entertaining band. not technical.

Anyway back to metalcore vs nu-metal, metalcore are more technical and shit, look at trivium for an instance, the guitar solos...woohoo

Where else nu-metal combines metal with modern styles or different styles, in the case of linkin park, rapping. System of a down has their trademark of harmonization(Serj & Daron). Limp bizkit also falls under the same category for linkin park but hell they sound nicer. Slipknot's just a big band(with percussions and turntables;also has rapping). oh well many more but i cant mention all can i?

P.S Im neither a fan of metalcore nor nu-metal(although i love SOAD).

Eh babe, videos...videos!

Oh..ok pardon me but won't the actual and video sound different 8O :?:

Did you miss a word?

I'm so confused  I thought maybe the bass would sound better if you saw in real life instead of videos. tts what I was trying to say..haha

Well imo the bass sounded ok on cd. But during live, it's just bad dude. Sometimes the only thing I hear coming out from the bass amp are just flat clouging sounds. Even when I put my headphones on.

Well its tough sounding good live eh! Sometimes Serj sings out of tune too. Daron's voice is a little too high pitched

nu metal

guys nu metal isnt dying
people still listen to it and love it..
and linkin park is nu metal, nu metal is rap and metal mix rap and metal
P.O.D is nu metal, limp bizkit is nu metal..

If you get a good nu metal band up in singapore, alot of guys will come watch, trust me the older guys 21++ will listen and prefer nu metal to that bullshit punk emo fck that the younger 15,16,17,18 year olds play and listen to

I love nu-metal too.

And nu-metal's a whole lot different from metalcore. Nu-metal is rap influenced, whereas metalcore is emo influenced.

A better debate is alternative metal vs. nu metal. Because they sound so similar and they appear to be interchangeable.

Linkin Park was nu-metal. They still do some nu-metal songs but most of their recent stuff is alternative I think...

I loved Nu-Metal. Hybrid Theory Linkin Park, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock(in a way), Taproot, Disturbed, System of A Down, etc all within that early 2000 period. Even the BOLA album by Rage against the machine was rather Nu-Metal-y. Some more it was during my early teens, what else dei, TEENAGE ANGST LA

*chuckles* wow, nu-metal fan saying such things about punk and emo. punk is respectable. nu-metal, rap and emo are in the same category and cannot be called music. nu-metal is not metal.

hehehe. most people dont even know that the emo genre didnt start out as the pussy stuff that is played today. listen to Rites of Spring, and tell me what similarity it has to the typical "emo" band that is played on radio today. those who listen to the real original emo will probably feel insulted, in the similar way when people proclaim nu-metal bands to be "metal".

I knew metal elitists would come and diss nu metal, the same way they diss everything that isn't metal as being 'not real music'. I don't care. I love nu-metal and heavy metal alike.

I wonder why Slipknot needs so many members to be honest...
