Non-satanic metal bands.

i think hes asking an honest question. most of you who are taking the chance to jibe at him should check out your flaws in your reasoning and language first because thats hilarious.
well for a start, having vulgarities in a song does not make it satanic.
lets take it from another point of view, any song that isnt like used to praise God is considered secular. and the irony of the term satanism is that what is practised in satanism isnt devil worship but the indulgence of the 7 deadly sins. for you to believe in satan, you have to believe that there is a God. the more appropriate term for anything that promotes devil worship is anti-christ. so i suppose slipknots song is just a vulgar secular song.
and having read what many black metal bands stand for, its more of a general anti-religion and supreme being than an anti-christ sorta thing.

Then there's the lyrics, the context, the this and the that. It really depends on how you look at it and what you get from the music, how it affects you as a person.

anyway, i guess a "satanic song" is defined by the lyrics or the ideology that the artists themselves want to bring across

Read penta-tonic`s post. I seriously think that you are very misinformed about the term satanism; it is to your advantage to do a quick google and have the facts established.
But if you want songs that has no hate content, you can try the Jonas dudes.

No point debating about whether is a band Satanic or is the song relating to Satan because we're not the song writers. So let the song writers decide whether is it Satanic or not.
Some bands write stuff about Satan and claims that they're not Satanic while some bands don't write about Satan and claims that they're Satanic just that they don't show it in their music. So it's pretty pointless discussing which song is Satanic and stuff like that.

hey man teleplayer, apologies that some of them are just taking this chance to assert themselves as superior by pretending to know it all and making fun of you. its cool that you stood up to ask an honest question rather than be like the masses who are bumbling and fumbling around in the dark and pretending to know oh so much abt matters such as this.
well for a start you could check out the roots of how metal came about to get a better idea of what bands out there are worth checking out and the different genres there are. especially in this day and age where everyone is vying to be unique and coming up with more and more different types of metal.

If you like Bullet for my Valentine, I'd recommend All that Remains. Also metalcore, but more brutal than most so it might be subjective if you'll like them. Still, give them a try. Plenty of their music videos on youtube.
