Noiseless strat pickups

Joe Barden?

I was intriguied by their humbuckers before... but the price was really steep.

Then I read up on how the new bardens don't sound as good as the old ones since Mr Barden restarted the company. I'm not sure if this true but I've read several reports saying the same thing...

isit? the fender noiseless pups suck leh IMHO....i get to play them everyday so i should know.

Somehow they dont ring out or "quack" as well as the dimarzios....

The Fender noiseless pups shine best with a nice thin pick... V picks don't need to apply.;)

Really? I've either lost the v pick screamers i use or sold them to impressed customers who ask for my picks to test guitars already.... hence I have been forced to play with 0.6mm thin picks for about a few weeks already :(

I've always liked the v picks/stubbies on TRUE single coils btw... cos you can test how much they break up by hitting the strings really hard with all kinds of dynamics! That often reveals more about the dynamic range and character of the pup more so than thinner picks ;)

0.6 mm picks are now the rocks... I use them on my 8 string and its pretty good stuff! PG uses them to shred - its inane.

The V-Picks are better sounding on single coils than on humbuckers unless you're looking for a more Santana-ish vibe or you play with lower output stuff.
