Nice eating places

if its for a date, then the bella pizza down at robertson quay. very nice place with good ambience and romantic too. the owner is damn friendly too. you get all sorts of italian tuff there, and prices ar reasonable. it cost me about 50 bucks for 2 ppl.

the best place to eat is at home with my family...awwwww...
but we've nvr eaten as a family except on ramadan period.. =(
thats why i missed it so much..

Check out NUSS at Suntec City if you are a member of the Alumni. A wide variety of Western and Asian Cuisine on the menu to choose from. Go for the a la carte menu and don't forget to order wine and desserts since the cost is of no concern. You can chill out at The Bar too after dinner.

Alternatively if you are a fan of Indian cuisine try Masala Art at the basement of Peninsular Plaza. Great northern Indian buffet spread, and if you are still hungry then chill out at Goodwood Hotel for their midnight porridge,

I'm not a fan of Botak Jones. I don't think their fish and chips are that good.

And sometimes when i have to buy food, i'll go to the market near my place for awesome Fishball noodles/Carrot cake/Roasted duck rice/Braised duck rice/Hokkien mee/Western food/Wanton mee.

Botak Jones so so only lah... their food makes me SUPER THIRSTY! MSG overload.

and hor... you recommend market near your home but you never say which market! c'mon... share the wealth ;)

ehheh ayam bakar ojolali at lucky plaza 3rd floor. damnnnn good indo food! they've got like grilled catfish with rice. and the normal grilled chicken and stuff. pretty cheap too (:

Bro edder bro, when we were still running the webzine, we thought of running a food feature where the bands can discuss their favourite makan joints near where they record and jam. Never took place obviously.

Cuz Big Eater will be featured.

When are we going again?

definitely not this weekend cos I'm going to bangkok to pig out on everything porky there and the following weekend cos xBatuPahatisthereasonx

al azhar!!!

al ameen cannot make it. Been there since it was a single shop. Now the service is a little BS.

for all those who love dosai...

there is an old coffeeshop just beside the tekka market (now under renovation)..place is called Sri Kamala Vilas...damn good south indian food...always served hot and service is excellent for a coffeeshop...plus they got freeflow of water..haha...

For a beef-out, RoRK rikes the daidomon at Beach Road, Eastpoint.

Gotch buffet but a bit ex at approx. $70 per mouth. But gotch a lot of good beef cuts, including cow tongue, gyu tataki (almost raw beef), rib, belly, sirloin etc etc etc. After eating there you won't want to touch beef for another month.

There are other meat cuts from chicken, pork and standard seafood items.

But beef gotch me by the b_lls!

Other than that and the occasional outings for Schezuan, Bak Kut Teh and to get out of the house, RoRK rikes to cook at home - gotch sexay lovelovelove!

Food ROCKs!

i agree that al-ameen's service is BS. but that is assuming we are refering to al ameen at bukit timah, and not al ameen at changi road :)

they have little worms in their chilli at Al-Almeen.

Al-Azhar is not much better actually. Just that the food's better.

Opps! Forgot to add that in. It's the market at Kallang Bahru. Just next to the old mandarin theater.

Adly: Oh that Ayam bakar at Lucky Plaza is really good. But during dinner time must wait very long man.

There's this Indian restaurant like near Race Course Road called Muthu's Curry. Super good indian food there. And near Mustafa is another restaurant called Woodlands or something like that. I like Lasi that yogurt drink:)
