hi guys, since the polytechnic topics is getting hot, i got some question about the courses in the title cause im taking o'levels this year. what's the difference between the courses and how many points and other qualifications needed?

cheers

hohoho..NGEE ANN 's mass com.. hohoho... come come...  though i'm not in that course....

Yep, the "O"s.
I'm from Jurongville Secondary...beng school! You?
I was impressed by NP when I went for their flim and media studies conference...POWER! 8O

eh.. so good. u get to go NP...

tmr, my school got this career talk shit. then got 3 options of wat talk to go to which are:
1)accountancy
2)biomedical whatver
3)IT stuff.

and none is my interest. like crap like that. hahaha. btw, i sent u a PM bout something else. :D

back to the topic please. :D err.. kinda need some info.

lol...i will definitely say NP mass comm cos i'm from there..hahaha...

you need a minimum of B4 for your english and C6 for 4 other subjects...if you have A2 and above for english, you don't have to take the written test...if you have B3 and B4 then you'd have to take a written test before you get the interviews...

any other things you wanna know?

tammi

Np's mass Comm is more popular and well known than the SP one.
But local blogger XiaoXue is from Sp's one.

Hehe...FSV is more technical.

yup it definately is.. u get to learn alot of technical stuff in FSV.. cuz thts wat i am doing rte now.. stress!!!

omg..xiaxue is from mass comm?? omg...I didn't know that such horrendous english was acceptable in mass comm..

uurrrggghhh...

or it could be just that i don't like her...

im in SP DMC> ok. DMC for SP cop is 12, NP is 10. bt Np allows for intereview admition while SP is based on COP.

anyway, SP is more based on media and business. and the advantage we have comes with the new specialist diploma that allows us to study FSV in DMC> yea. something like that. nt really knowledgable bout the in depth new specialist diploma that stuff yet, cos its my 2nd day so far.

anything u wanna know, jst ask. its good that u can hear both sides since we have people from both schools.

Did I mention that FSV is project based? While your peers are studying for exams, you don't have to study. Just chop chop finish your projects.

eh? then meaning if I in NP's DMC, i can take FSV also izit? but is DMC and FSV separate course or FSV is integrated in DMC? im kinda confused over the "study FSV in DMC"... thanks

im nt in NP .... im SP. we have this diploma in television, only top 40 students can take. so u study DMC can take the specialist dip.

only film, video. no sound in SP. FSV only NP has an intergreated course

satch: ok. so wat course u are taking now? media and comm. in SP? if u do, can describe to me the course? :D

tammi: err. ask you a bit. what do you get to learn in DMC in ngee ann?

 i abit too curious. sorry. hahaha
